Food is delicious and will always have an aesthetic look to it. I personally enjoy the service style being both attentive yet not so bothersome. The dish I ordered being beef and broccoli was cooked well and flavor full, the mixture of chewy and tender paired well with the sauce and broccoli.

I recently visited Anise Restaurant and was blown away by the amazing improvements under the new management. The entire experience—from the moment I walked in—was nothing short of excellent. The atmosphere feels fresh and welcoming, the staff is attentive and professional, and most importantly, the food is absolutely delicious.Every dish was full of flavor, beautifully presented, and made with care. You can really tell the new management is focused on quality and great service. Anise has truly elevated itself, and I can’t wait to return.Highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience!

Anise is a gem. For $12 you get a lunch that includes entree, rice, soup, a drink and a spring roll. Fortune cookie with the check. It is near impossible to beat this combination anywhere else in The Bronx. You may find a bigger selection (Golden Corral or another buffet) but the food will be bland and poorly done. This food is done right. The kung pao chicken, was lean, crisp and without fat or gristle. The spring roll was light and fried precisely. The vegetables were beautiful and delicious from the baby corn to the mushrooms and zucchini. This is the best venue to host a business lunch in Riverdale and in the Bronx, outside of Little Italy or Throggs Neck. The other two locations will be far more expensive and have little to no parking. City Island also. I strongly recommend this for a business meeting or a delicious lunch.

I am very picky when it comes to Chinese food but this place checked off all the boxes. I ordered during lunch time and I couldn’t believe the amount of food and options I received for the price. With my lunch special order I received a decent 5-6” plate of shrimp and broccoli, 16oz wonton soup with wonton strips, 8oz container of white rice and a mini egg roll. All for $11.00

I ordered their sesame chicken. It was disgusting. The chicken was over fried and tough to chew. The sauce was disgusting and definitely not the sweet sesame chicken flavor. The egg roll was extremely greasy. They forgot to pack my rice. When I called, a woman picked up the phone was extremely rude. She kept over talking me and the only solution she offered was to pack more rice the next time I order. Who said there would be a next time? When I asked how could she assure that, she proceeded to yell “fine we’ll Deliver it to you”. Just overall negative experience.
