★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1CasaEma lived up to the hype! My family was impressed by the innovative pastries, dynamic dishes, creative menu, and quick kind service! We were nervous to see a long line, however the line moves quickly. They have an employee always monitoring the parties and line and reserving tables/seating to ensure that everyone has a place to sit once they place their orders. No wonder this place was recognized by Michelin!I was impressed by the food and included a few photos in this review. I also included photos of the fun atmosphere and line. If the line is as long as it is in my photos, then the wait is only 10-15 minutes. The only negative aspect was parking. Arrive early to find parking as you will need to either park across the street or park in the nearby neighborhood. Allocate 3-7 minutes for parking. I look forward to coming back soon!
July 04 · Cesar MunizI had seen this place on social media and it got me wanting to try it out. We had Suadero Chilaquiles, Huarache de Pollo, Flat White and Atole de Coco Cold Brew, and also some bakery items to go. Both dishes had good combination of ingredients and flavors. As for huarache, probably my first time to eat and its texture was chewier than I thought (compared to tamales). Coffee was good and so were bakery items. Service was friendly and wait time was reasonable (around 10:30am on Friday). There is a parking lot and Ema's spots are limited. I love "Masa" so I would like to come back.
June 28 · Hitomi GEma HTX is incredible! The carrot taco was a 10/10—so flavorful you don’t even miss the meat, and the chicharrón is 1000/10, insanely good. Loved the grilled pearl onions! The suadero chilaquiles were a solid 8/10—beans needed a bit of salt, salsa was okay. The corn muffin? Best thing on earth—I took 5 to go! Watermelon agua fresca was light and refreshing (10/10), and the horchata latte has me hooked. Also, the staff is truly the heart of the place—so warm, friendly, and always smiling. They make you feel right at home. I absolutely love them!
April 19 · Majo TurcioGreatest pleasure is to visit a new city and start the day trying out a new restaurant and feeling like IT WAS MEANT TO BE. I’m Mexican so I’m very picky with “authentic Mexican restaurant,” this place felt like a huge warm hug to my heart.I wanted to eat all the pastries but I have gluten allergies so I could only let myself to tried one. It was worth it. If you’re a quiche afficionado like me, then you need to try it. Their coffee was also amazing.
June 18 · Marilyn InzunzaFive starts for the food. Waited 50 min on a Sunday at 12pm. You have to order before you sit. No cash. The place is small, we were a party of two and even though there were tables available they made us seat at the bar to leave the tables to larger parties. So after waiting for 50 minutes the group of 4 that was after us was seated at a table while we seat at the bar. They had a dj and the music was a little bit too loud.Food was served really fast but drinks really slow.Suadero Chilaquiles - Best of what we ordered. It was delicious. It is a big plate and comes with an eggPuerco Mole Enchiladas - Mole was really good, serving size is two enchiladas with some greens, mole sauce and baby corn.Chicharron - Good but difficult to cut and serve. Four pork belly pieces that come with three tortillas (in my opinion it should be 4 tortillas), refried beans with queso on top and two different sauces: green one and red one (spicy). The wort out of the three, but still good.Horchata Berlina - round pastry (like a donut) filled with horchata cream. Really good.
