Choosing a Chinese restaurant in New York can be a challenge, but Dragon makes a strong case for itself as a reliable and worthwhile option. The most significant reason to choose Dragon is its extensive and value-driven menu. The "Lunch Special" menu is a standout feature, offering a wide array of choices at an attractive price point. This allows customers to get a full, satisfying meal without breaking the bank. The variety of options, from classic General Tso's Chicken and Sesame Chicken to more unique choices like Beef W. Scallions and Hot & Spicy Beef, ensures that every craving can be met. This focus on providing an expansive and affordable menu is a key factor in its popularity.
Furthermore, Dragon’s combination of traditional fare and modern conveniences makes it an excellent choice for the urban consumer. The menu includes not only familiar favorites but also healthier "Steamed Special Diet Dishes," like Shrimp W. Broccoli and Plain Broccoli. This shows a commitment to catering to different dietary preferences, a small but important detail. The menu also includes a section of fried items and small plates like Fried Jumbo Shrimp and Thai Sweet Chili Wings, which are perfect for a quick snack or to share with friends.
While a few online comments mention specific issues, the overall positive sentiment about the restaurant's fast service and consistent food quality on delivery platforms speaks volumes. The customer who was happy with the hot and tasty food but disappointed about a missing free soda highlights the high demand and the typical customer experience: a quick and delicious meal that is often delivered efficiently. The fact that the complaint was about a small detail rather than a major food issue suggests that for the most part, the food itself is a reliable hit. For those who prioritize a broad menu, affordable prices, and the convenience of quick delivery or takeout, Dragon Chinese Restaurant is a top-tier choice. Its long-standing presence on Third Avenue confirms its role as a trusted community spot, serving up a taste of home-style Chinese cooking to the people of the Bronx.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I ordered pepper steak and fried rice 🤢🤮 the steak is disgusting. I don’t know what texture that is, but that rubbery thing is not steak. As I chew I just spit it out. Never again.
July 11 · Quincy MorrisDelivery was fast and food was hot and tastey. My only complaint is where is my free beverage? I called and asked she said free soda is after $30 order. My order was $29.75. You should have also inquired if I wanted anything to drink and I was a .25 shy. I always thought if you spent $15 or more you get a free beverage. I was wrong.
April 21 · Phoxy whiteGood tasted fresh. Preorder appears to be easier as I learned when I got there. Customers had called ahead if time and their food was ready to pick up. I had a large order for 9 people but I was attended quickly. What I liked about the waiter/cook, she review and repeated my order for accuracy. They have healthy choices for people watching their sodium intake.
July 19 · Yve PalacI love the quality of the food and the portion of the food is excellent. I been to a couple restaurants around the way and nothing compared to this one. Very happy to always go pick up the food. No delivery I love like that. It makes the food worthwhile. The service is good straight to the point no gimmicks.
May 06 · Omar VargasI ordered crabmeat egg foo young and bbq ribs. The ribs was good but the egg foo young was nasty. Feel like I'm getting sick already. Just ate it. I wish i had a good plate of food from this place like other people. Lady who took order seemed nice. Clean place from what i can see from window. Good iced tea and lemonade. And rice didn't look edible. So i didn't even try it. Gordon Ramsey they need your help a lesson in how to make egg foo young.
