★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I ate at Harpers last night. It was the worst dining experience The workers were so rude on the phone and even less polite in person. My salmon was inedible, my friends burger was raw, and my other friends pork chop was uncuttable. Not only was our waiter impolite, he was also unhygienic. He picked a wedgie and continued to use the same hand to pass our food. Above all The prices are insane for the type of service we had. Would never recommend.
July 14 · Laila StormsDelicious eats with a great outdoor patio. The steak and eggs dish was decent but the meat was overcooked and lost its texture and quality. The fries were delicious and the chicken sandwich was good. The house salad was decent. Felt like it was missing something. Type bland.Service was good. Server was attentiveDrinks were good too. Great spot for small bites, drinks and to hang out in the patio.Parking can be somewhat of a challenge but feasible.
September 28 · George EspinalWonderful brunch experience with our family on the way into the city. Easy to find street parking. Welcoming greeting and friendly, attentive service. Their brunch prix fixe is perfect if you want cocktails. We chose mimosas which were just the right mix of OJ and bubbly. All our food choices were delicious. Definitely recommend and would return when in the area!
May 25 · Wen EmkayAttended an event in the back outside area with a group of 23. Arrived to find, flies or similar all over the back area, 2 Citronella candles were on. Need to better address this. Also a horrendous odor in the back corner. Huge umbrellas with stands in the middle of the walkway with bags of sand- a trip hazard. They need to invest in a shade sail (inexpensive option) and remove the umbrellas. The tables and chairs had tree debris etc on them which I promptly wiped off before guests arrived. They had one person servicing the group and she did her best and was lovely. She has worked for years there. She was a gem!Unfortunately, they clearly cannot handle an event and a half full restaurant at the same time. Drink orders were slow to be taken and come out. Food same problem, meals came out lukewarm or cold and not in table groupings, people at the same table not eating together. It was frustrating for the event participants and hosts. The owner also has an awful attitude.
May 18 · Patty JustinianoSo let me begin by saying if you live in the area and haven't visited this place, you're doing a disservice to your existence!Sorry for being dramatic but hey, shame on you!I went in tonight looking for a mean classic Old Fashioned. What a woman has to do to find good drink these days! But to my relief, this place had Toni working behind the bar who served me the perfect, no exaggeration here, Old Fashioned. As much as I loved the notes of the drink, I fell in love with the cherry. Upon asking I was told Sarah, the genius behind not just the cherry but also their cocktail menu, was around. She was kind enough to tell me her recipe for those delectable cherries. Now if you want to know more about those, you have to visit Harper's! I am only giving this review for free, not Sarah's perfectly crafted cherry recipe!I ordered Harper's Burger for dinner. The burger was splendid to stay the least. The fries were well done as well, they were so good that I had to stuff my insides because I didn't want them to go to waste. Forgive me Father, for I have gluttony-ed!I also happened to meet the owners tonight. Ajna is a sweetheart. Muki (I hope I am not butchering the name) is incredible. Edi could use some work but he redeemed himself by offering to split with me an Old Fashioned on the house. I've never heard of anyone splitting a drink with me before, and I do not wish to split a drink with an owner of any establishment ever again. But I can't deny that all three of them were very gracious, as were Toni and Sarah. They have incredible wine tastings on Thursdays. A must visit spot if you want a good drink or just need to decompress. The ambience will definitely help you unwind. This place is no fluke. Go experience it for yourself!
