★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Hands down the BEST Mexican food we’ve ever had!! In town for Astros game and walked in shortly after opening. Quickly greeted by hostess and the owner, Louis, who is the son of the original Irma’s. After Louis found out we’re huge fans of Mexican food, he asks to cook for us today and proceeds to present an array of tasty dishes. From the house lemonade to lentil soup and main courses not on the menu, based on each of mine and my husband’s favorite dishes. We were so stuffed, we unfortunately did not have room for dessert. It was all amazing. Louis is the best host and has a wonderful restaurant. Will return every time we’re in Houston!!
April 19 · Susan GoodrichThe food here was really good. I had some queso, some guac, and their salsa to start. I decided to get the burger since I was interested in the Nilgai and I’m glad I tried it! It was quite good. You could tell it wasn’t cow beef but they made a great burger out of it. High price for a fairly normal portion; that’s downtown for ya! I personally don’t really like the downtown scene. Parking sucks. Ambiance wasn’t great. Very loud. Other than that, I’m happy with the service and food.
June 27 · Khang TranCustomer service is great! Clean area. Consider a fancy restaurant. $50 for lunch. Food taste good. Fajitas is great. Request a spicy sauce it's awesome. The tea is awesome too! Pure fruits no sugar.
April 04 · Andy DermawanHad lunch. Atmosphere and service were great. Salsa was particularly good and flavorful without too much heat. Had the wild game plate for an entree. Enjoyed my meal and would eat here again.
February 08 · Justin CrappsFrom the moment we walked into Irma’s Southwest, we were treated like family. The atmosphere was vibrant, welcoming, and full of character exactly what you hope for in a true Texas gem.The food was absolutely phenomenal, every bite packed with flavor and clearly made with care. What made the experience even more special was Louis Galvan himself. Not only did he personally greet us, but he also cooked for us! His hospitality, warmth, and passion for what he does truly set the tone for the entire visit. You can feel the love in both the food and the service. If you’re looking for a place with top-notch food, an unforgettable atmosphere, and a host who genuinely cares, Irma’s Southwest is it. We’ll definitely be back!
