★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Great experience. Very stylish dining room with a unique, lovely sushi bar. Waiting for our table, we had drinks at the bar and the bartenders were attentive and very nice. Sitting down to dinner we had a very knowledgeable and helpful waiter. And the sushi was sooo good. I think my favorite dish of the night was the madai appetizer. All of the pieces were fantastic.Glad to see it was very crowded - with all the restaurant closures I’m worried about our great Houston restaurants - but this place seemed to be doing fine on a Saturday night.
July 20 · P MizellOne of the best Japanese dining experiences I’ve had. The sashimi was incredibly fresh. I really like the drink——The ancho, you must be try it.The staff was friendly and attentive, can’t wait to come back!
June 26 · Evangeline TanI think the food was good, but it’s honestly overpriced. Portions are not at all generous for how much it cost; pieces were so minuscule I wondered if I actually ate anything. Service was nice but not that attentive. We waited really long for raw fish.Overall mediocre experience and wouldn’t return for seconds.
April 23 · Vy HoWe started off with The Ancho—a bold cocktail made with Japanese whiskey, agave, and a shishito pepper. It was smoky, slightly spicy, and absolutely delicious—perfect way to kick things off.Next came the appetizers: the Hamachi crudo was light, clean, and beautifully plated, while the truffle aioli salmon was rich, silky, and seriously addictive. From there, the omakase unfolded into a series of perfectly crafted bites: Kinmedai, Madai, Shima Aji, a trio of lean, medium-fatty, and super-fatty salmon, plus buttery toro, and a warm, slightly baked roll that hit all the right notes. The A5 Wagyu beef roll was the grand finale—tender, savory, and unforgettable. The atmosphere is upscale yet relaxed, and the service was smooth and attentive without being overbearing. If you’re looking for next-level sushi in Houston, MF Sushi is a must. Every detail—from the drinks to the nigiri—was on point.
May 30 · Joe PappalardoAmazing sushi MF saved the day after a sub par sushi experience. The sushi is A1, the drinks are A1. Please try them out if you are in H-town. Truffle aioli king salmon is amazing. Lee recommended it and we were so impressed that we had two orders of it.
