★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The first time I ordered was through Uber Eats and I was really impressed. I got two bowls of the vegan pho with tofu and all the onions and herbs, vegetarian egg rolls, and vegetarian dumplings. The broth was very flavorful and the portion size was perfect. I really enjoyed the egg rolls and really appreciate that they make a vegan sauce to go with it. Husband and I liked it so much we returned 2 days later to try it in person and it was even better... especially the appetizers since we were able to eat it fresh. We arrived at 8:30pm and were the last people to be served. One group arriving 10 minutes later were turned away. I've learned from previous experience that kitchens around Houston usually close 15-30 minutes before the listed closing time so it's best to not get there too late. This is our new go to spot! We were going to another one down the street regularly but have been let down a number of times with the inconsistency and for adding vegetarian egg rolls to the menu but never having it available.
January 05 · Mary LeCompteI was in the mood for spring rolls. I ordered them and they didn’t have any so I dipped out and was gonna go somewhere else.On my way out I decided maybe I didn’t need the spring rolls so I came back. At that point I think he was the owner walked in. He said he would make some for me fresh. I thought that was cool! One order of spring rolls and large combination chicken pho came out to $22.00. Yikes! A bit high but I wanted to give it a try so no worries.Fresh spring rolls came out. It was 1 fresh spring roll cut in half. lol. That was my only issue.Edit: the menu does say “Spring Roll”. So one cut in half is totally fair. I went up to 5 stars. lol.
June 02 · David AguirreNut allergy friendly: They do have a peanut sauce served with the spring rolls. I'd also be careful with the chili sauce. Otherwise, pho is totally safe.I ordered this as a late night option and was so surprised by how good it was that I took two more friends the next day to confirm. Lo and behold, this might be one of the best pho spots inside the Loop, and definitely the best late night weekend option!Warning: Taking the pho to go, you are EXPECTED to boil the broth when you get home. This is how you cook the thin raw meat and the slightly uncooked noodles. I actually really respect that they give you slightly firm noodles with this expectation. Do not believe the reviews that say that the noodles are undercooked. The pho broth here is very flavorful and rich, though slightly oily. Meat is sliced thinly and all meet expectations in tenderness. I'd say the brisket gets a little tough, but isn't bad at all. Portions are large and filling. What more can you ask for?Don't let the funny name fool you. This pho is great.
October 03 · David PhamChicken pho has two miserable slices of chicken and a slump of noodles. No soda fountain. The mini egg told dripping oil and very unhealthy. Pricy.
May 18 · Lichene IslandicoSpring roll is perfect with the peanut sauce that comes with it. Nicely balanced.Egg rolls are crisp but the filling is soft.Authentic pho has a very light taste.I ordered the Large Pho King Beef Noodle Soup (combination extra meat) and Large Chicken Noodle Soup (Dark meat)If you were to get this from a Vietnamese friend mom, this is exactly what you get, a very savory beef broth. The chicken broth disappointed.I would recommend the regular size beef combination pho and spring rolls as they're very good and the average person would be filled. Large if you're a big eater. The service is also very fast.
