★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The Pit Room serves up some of the best BBQ in Texas, hands down! We tried the beef rib, pork ribs, chicken tacos, brisket tacos, mac n cheese, and a salad, and every single bite was packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. The beef rib was tender and smoky, the brisket tacos melted in our mouths, and the mac n cheese was creamy and comforting. Even the salad was fresh and well-balanced, a perfect contrast to the rich BBQ. If you're a BBQ lover, The Pit Room is a must-visit. You won't leave disappointed!
July 29 · Aaron GollehonThe entrance had a line up to the sidewalk. Nice indoor dining area and large outdoor dinning area. It’s a cafeteria style ordering, choose food, pay, pick up tray, grab pickled items, beverage and find a comfortable place to enjoy your meal. The staff are friendly and quick. Lots of space to sit outside but no air conditioning. Limited indoor seating.Delicious food, you won’t be disappointed.
August 16 · Marcos⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Incredible Brisket & Beef Ribs — True Texas BBQ ExperiencePit Room BBQ is a must-visit spot for any barbecue lover in Houston! The brisket here is absolutely phenomenal — tender, smoky, and packed with flavor. And don’t miss the beef ribs — they’re massive, juicy, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Hands down some of the best I've ever had.The restaurant has that authentic, no-frills Texas charm with a lunchroom-style setup that adds to the character and vibe. It feels like you're stepping into a true Texan BBQ joint, not some over-polished chain.Yes, the parking lot is tight (especially during peak hours), but it's absolutely worth the effort. I’ll definitely be coming back — again and again!
June 25 · Michael PerryWe recently went for dinner with our family of four and ordered two 2-meat plate combos with two sides each.Since we arrived at 8 PM, most items were already sold out, so we were only able to try the brisket and venison sausage. We thought the restaurant closed at 11 PM, but it turns out that's just for the patio, not the main dining area.***On a positive note, dogs are welcome on the patio, which we loved!!While the food tasted great, the portions were surprisingly small?!? Especially for the price! The brisket, in particular, was disappointing; it was cut so thinly it was almost like bacon scraps. The sides were really good!We had mac and cheese, beans, corn, and coleslaw but they were also quite small. They were out of bread, but offered buns instead, which was okay.Overall, the flavor was there, but the portions don't justify the $73 price tag tbh.We really hope to go again earlier in the day next time so we can try the other meats and sides that were sold out. Perhaps then, we can even change our review!
June 30 · Maria Baldit"Solid BBQ Spot with Standout Meats and a Sweet Finish!"The Pit Room served up some seriously good BBQ. The ribs were tender with just the right amount of smoky flavor, the brisket was juicy and well-seasoned, and the pulled pork was flavorful and perfectly shredded. The real surprise hit? The chocolate chip cookie — warm, gooey, and a must-try dessert! The sides were just okay, nothing that really stood out, but the outdoor seating area more than made up for it — spacious, shaded, and perfect for enjoying a laid-back Texas BBQ meal.Overall, a great spot for quality smoked meats and a relaxed vibe. We’ll be back for more brisket…and definitely another cookie! Also, the line was out the door long so we called and ordered for take-out. Our food was ready in 15 mins and we just ate outside and people watched!
