★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1⭐ 1 out of 5 starsRude and unprofessional — left with food and no appetite.I visited Wok & Roll on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at 10:47 AM, just before the lunch rush so I could have my meal ready on time. I was still in my scrubs, on my break from work. As soon as I walked up to the counter, the woman working looked at me up and down and said, “Are you wanting something, or just looking?” — which immediately felt dismissive and unwelcoming. I was honestly confused and taken aback.I asked to sample a meat I had never tried before, and she responded with, “Oh, you just want a sample?” — again, with a passive-aggressive tone like I was doing too much just for asking a simple question.I told her I wanted the General Tso and Orange Chicken, and I specifically asked for them to be packed in separate containers because I didn’t want the sauces mixing. Instead of just honoring that request, she got snippy and said she’d have to charge me $11 per container or combine them. I said that was fine — but the whole time, it felt like she was irritated that I was even ordering. Then she asked if I wanted any sides. I told her no, just the two meats. She said it didn’t matter, I’d be charged the same anyway. Again — the tone, the energy, the whole vibe was just negative and unprofessional. It felt like I was being treated like a burden, or like I couldn’t afford my own food, even though I clearly ordered and paid.I did purchase the food, but her behavior left such a sour taste in my mouth that I still haven’t eaten it. Completely lost my appetite. I’ve worked in customer service — this is not how you treat paying customers. If you don’t want to be at work, fine, but don’t take it out on people who just came for a decent meal.I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend it.
July 17 · ChasThe salt and pepper shrimp with the fried rice is incredibly seasoned with the right amount of spice. We also ordered orange chicken, jalapeño shrimp and shrimp fried rice. They are the real deal and food tastes authentic to their culture if you’re in the area please check them out. They didn’t disappoint at all.
December 06 · Latasha ShepardMy order was extremely disappointing. I ordered two (2) orders ("meals") through Too Good to Go. Each order was to contain two entrees, two sides, and a drink. Due to very poor directions, I arrived at closing and only received one order and no drink. Evidently, my orders were not boxed and put to the side for pickup. The food was OK, but nothing I would go out of my way for. Directions need to be more explicit (stating entrance is in the tunnel, or kiosk is in the food court, and specify Main Street or McKinley). I will not waste my money on this place again.
December 09 · EllenI have to eat here anytime I come to Houston. The bourbon chicken is amazing. Prices are fair and food is great. This is a food hall style location, so all orders are technically 'takeout' orders. Expect to be served and checked out quickly.
July 10 · Steve OliverConsistently decent food but have to deduct a star. If you ask for double meat, they put back like 1/3 of whatever you selected as the first meat. Allegedly to "make room" but more likely to trim costs. In doing so, they save an entire 1 meat entre over 3 meals. Yet they've marginally raised their prices twice in the past year.
