April 11 · Phu NguyenOmg, get this place a Michelin Bib Gourmand distinction stat! We had the best experience at Alora. We came for a Friday night dinner date (by night, I mean around 6:00 PM). We were thrilled to see a parking lot; a true luxury in Montrose area. Seated immediately, and both the indoor and outdoor decor were beautiful. I really appreciated the spacing of the patio seating, as we weren't bumped up against the party behind us and weren't hearing each other's convos. The waitstaff was very kind and attentive (my water glass never went below 2/3 full lol). Also, we always feel special when someone comes to speak with us after our meal, so that was lovely as well.Food was AMAZING! Having spent some time in Cusco, I was really excited about the crispy aju de gallina spring rolls. They did not disappoint! So flavorful. I don't even like olives but the dipping sauce really hit. I don't eat fish, but my husband really enjoyed the ceviche. For mains, we devoured the shaking lomo saltado and the BBQ oyster mushroom. I raved about the charred cauliflower puree, and I really enjoyed the texture of the mung bean and sticky rice cake (two of my fave things to eat!). I'm not a vegetarian by any stretch, but I sincerely hope that menu item gets added permanently because I'd like to eat it again very soon. For dessert, we ordered the cinco leches cake (yummy, though not as drenched as we'd expect), and my personal favorite, the pandan sticky rice with coconut milk ice cream. The way I have been DREAMING about that sticky rice dessert for 48 hours. Not too sweet, subtle, and balanced. I'm going to start salivating again. This spot really impressed us, and I've already made plans to return. Highly, highly recommend!
April 13 · RavenThe environment and service were good, and the food had a very nice presentation. However, the portions were small, the flavor was lacking, and the prices were high for what you get. The ceviche was excellent, and the fish dish was good, but the pasta with breaded chicken was flavorless, and the pork chop was undercooked, so I couldn’t eat it. Overall, I would give it 4 stars for service and atmosphere, but I will not be returning.
August 10 · hortensi rosalesBest ceviche my peruvian wife has ever had. The aji egg roll was good. The BBQ mushroom was excellent. Skip the lomo saltado, that was not worth the price to be average. Def get the tres leches. The cocktails were all quite good, with the tea one being the most delicious. Service was fantastic. The decor was oddly nonspecific, could of passed for literally any restaurant with any style of food but that's not important. Come for the ceviche, it's that good!
May 10 · Sam LiInsanely delish! Amazing unique dishes. Get the crab and potatoey stacks. Wowowowow. Great bar too. My husband said the spring rolls were life changing and the cinco leches puts the tres leches to shame - they have a chicken strew filing + dog friendly patio! Easy parking lot
