Bāng Bar Introduce
In the world of New York City dining, the name Momofuku is synonymous with innovation and exceptional flavor. Bāng Bar, a fast-casual concept from the acclaimed Momofuku Group, brings a taste of that culinary prowess to a new and convenient setting. Located within the upscale Shops at Columbus Circle, Bāng Bar offers a unique and modern take on Korean-inspired street food, specializing in delicious bāng, or flatbread, and rice bowls. This spot is designed for the on-the-go New Yorker, offering a quick, flavorful, and satisfying meal for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It's a trendy spot that makes high-quality cuisine accessible without the long waits or a hefty price tag.
Bāng Bar's menu is centered around the concept of bāng—a freshly griddled, house-made flatbread. This is the foundation for their signature dishes, including the "U" wraps and "Fold Ups," which are filled with savory spit-roasted meats like Spicy Pork or Teriyaki Chicken. For those who prefer rice, the "Office Bowl" offers the same flavorful fillings over a bed of warm rice. Beyond the main dishes, Bāng Bar serves up a selection of tempting sides, including their popular Spicy Eggplant and Chickpea Dip, as well as breakfast options for an early-morning grab. The fast-paced, counter-service model ensures that you get your meal quickly, making it a perfect spot for a quick break from shopping or a speedy lunch between meetings.
While the food is the main attraction, the experience at Bāng Bar is characterized by its casual and trendy atmosphere. It is the kind of place where you can grab your food and eat while standing at a communal table. The efficient service is a major highlight, praised by many for its speed and professionalism. As one satisfied customer put it, "Food was Great! Flavorful and aromatic," and "Service was the Best!" It's a testament to Bāng Bar's ability to deliver high-quality, delicious food in a fast-casual setting. This balance of great taste and quick convenience makes it a popular choice for solo diners and families alike, proving that you don't need a formal setting to have a great meal.
For those in New York who appreciate a good meal and want a taste of something different, Bāng Bar is a great option. It offers a fresh and modern take on Korean flavors, all in a convenient and stylish setting. It is the perfect place to grab a bite that is both exciting and comforting, proving that fast food can indeed be fantastic food.

## What is Worth Choosing
Bāng Bar is a unique and compelling choice for New Yorkers for several reasons. The most important factor is its affiliation with the acclaimed Momofuku Group, a brand known for pushing culinary boundaries. While Bāng Bar is a casual offshoot, it carries the same reputation for quality and flavor. The food, particularly the bāng, is what makes it stand out. The freshly made, griddled flatbread is a unique and delicious base for their spit-roasted meats, offering a different and exciting texture and flavor profile compared to a traditional wrap.
The Spicy Pork and Teriyaki Chicken are highly recommended and considered by many to be flavorful and well-prepared. The Spicy Eggplant is another standout, with one customer raving that it was "amazing!" The combination of rich, savory flavors with a quick-service model is a major draw. For those who enjoy delicious food but don’t want to sacrifice time, Bāng Bar is the perfect compromise. The speed of service is consistently praised, ensuring you get a hot meal without a long wait, which is essential for New York's busy lifestyle.
However, it is important to be aware of the mixed reviews from customers. While many have had a great experience, there are some who have found the food disappointing. One review mentioned "pink and unappetizing" pork and a "dismal" taste, suggesting that consistency might be an issue. It is also important to note that the restaurant has a very casual setup with no seating, which might not be ideal for everyone. For those who are looking for a quick and convenient meal and are willing to try a new and trendy spot, Bāng Bar offers a unique and often praised option. It is best chosen for its quick service and the opportunity to try a new concept from a renowned culinary group.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Food was Great ! Flavorful and aromatic. I had the Spicy Eggplant Rice Bowl without the spice. It was amazing! Nowhere to sit, but Service was the Best! Waffle fries were better than Chick Fil A!
July 10 · Elvyn DavidsonThoroughly disappointing. I ordered the Fold Up with spicy pork ($11) and Waffle Fries ($6.50). Brenda took my order asking me how spicy I liked my food? I can eat spicy being from India. I went to the table where I stood to eat. Unpacking the fold up found two buns with thick strips of pork that looked pink and unappetizing. A first bite confirmed it. I managed to eat it while taking the out most of the meat. The fries were fine but I didn’t pay $19 and change to eat fried potatoes. I hate to waste money and this was a complete waste. Then another customer came to the table with a chicken fold up and said that t tasted dismal. How can the Momofuku Group produce this lackluster cuisine when next door the dishes are superb? Perplexing.
February 25 · Sabena SinghHad their chicken teriyaki salad and it was delicious. Packed with flavor. There is no seating so get it to go or stand and eat outside.
April 19 · Mahima SrivastavaThis used to be one of my favorite spots, but I don’t think it will last much longer. They’ve replaced the staff with people who seem untrained, unable to prepare food properly or treat customers with basic courtesy. I was served undercooked pork, uneven portions of meat, cold bread, and an overwhelming amount of cabbage that threw the dish completely off balance. The service was below par as well, though that’s not the main issue. Overall, Momofuku locations just aren’t what they used to be, and this branch is no exception.
August 22 · king andrewHidden gem in Columbus Circle.Running out of places to try for lunch around Columbus circle? Try Bang bar.The food is so good. Try the Chicken Teriyaki rice bowl and you will not regret it. I wish they would extend the hours so I can go after work and try it with my friends. It does get busy between 12-1 so get there a little early.
