The staff, often entirely Italian, contribute to this authentic feel, creating an environment that some find brusque yet others find charmingly real. It's a place where you're encouraged to immerse yourself in the moment, from the quick-fire recommendations to the fast-moving plates. This "rat-a-tat" charm is part of the package and a core element of its mystique.
Whether you’re seeking a relaxed lunch or a spirited dinner, Bar Pitti delivers. The restaurant's most famous feature is its spacious outdoor seating area, which spills out onto the sidewalk along Sixth Avenue. This offers an incredible vantage point for people-watching, which has become as much a part of the Bar Pitti experience as the food itself.
The location is highly accessible by various means of transportation. It is just a short walk from several major subway lines, allowing for easy access from almost anywhere in Manhattan and beyond. Famous Outdoor Seating: The sidewalk seating is a major draw for both diners and passersby. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This is one of my absolute favorite restaurants in New York City. Everything is incredible. You can’t go wrong here and the service is wonderful. If you don’t know what to order just ask them. What’s the best. There specials are to die for. Also, the dessert is great too very tasty. Can’t wait to go back.
March 31 · Nikki BannerDo not go to this place. From the moment we sat down we were treated as if the staff were doing us a favor by letting us eat there. I’ve seen the other reviews praising the “fiery” atmosphere, “fast” service, and “authentic” food but our experience was the complete opposite. The entire staff came across as rude.We were rushed to order, rushed to eat, and twice they tried to clear our plates while we were still eating. While we had dessert we were being watched the entire time. They even dropped the check with a “no rush” comment right after we got our dessert. The food itself was average at best and of course an 18% service charge was automatically added to the bill.Don’t fall for the influencer hype. This place is not representative of the amazing hospitality most NYC restaurants are known for. Save your money and your energy.
April 12 · Maria OrdonezCash only exceptional Italian dishes. I had this saved on a list for a while and as we were looking for a quick bite, it popped up. The service was so exceptional. I was glad we got there right before the lunch rush because as we were leaving the place was packed. Very small, but also very welcoming and kind. I would love to eat here again. Excellent recommendations from the staff.
March 02 · MJ WorldwideThe pasta is very good, but I think the service could improve. I went at a time when it wasn't busy. I hadn't even been seated for 2 minutes and the waiter was rushing me to place my order without giving me space to choose. The payment method is cash only, which makes your experience terrible because before even ordering I had to count the money to know if I had enough to pay in cash.
June 08 · Péricles PaixãoSuper cozy small Italian restaurant with an amazing food , everything we tried was delicious. Service super fast , even its very small place you feel comfy . They accept only cash as form of payment but there is a cash machine in basement . Must visit when in NYC
