Barbaresco Introduce
In the vibrant heart of New York City, where culinary excellence is a part of daily life, finding a truly authentic and charming Italian restaurant can feel like uncovering a hidden gem. Located on the bustling stretch of Lexington Avenue, Barbaresco stands out as a beloved local spot that promises an escape to the rustic, comforting flavors of Italy. Barbaresco isn't just a place to eat; it's a place to savor the moment, a cozy haven that combines classic Italian hospitality with a menu that speaks volumes about tradition and quality.
The name Barbaresco itself evokes the rich traditions of Italian wine country, and the restaurant lives up to that promise with its outstanding wine list. But the culinary journey begins long before the wine is poured. Patrons are greeted with a curated selection of antipasti that showcases the breadth and depth of Italian cuisine. From the delicate, flavorful Crostini Misti Toscani to the classic, fresh Mozzarella Di Bufala Caprese, each dish is crafted to perfection. The menu extends beyond the typical, offering delights such as Prosciutto Con Frutte Di Stagione and the sophisticated Carpaccio Di Manzo. For those who appreciate unique flavors, the Pere E Pecorino Tartufo is a must-try, combining the sweetness of pear with the sharpness of pecorino and the luxurious aroma of truffle. The menu also features robust seafood options like Cozze Alla Marinara and Scampi O Sole Mio, ensuring there is a dish to suit every palate.
The journey continues with a selection of soulful soups, or Zuppa, perfect for a chilly New York evening. The Pappa Con Pomodoro offers a rustic, heartwarming taste of Tuscany, while the Zuppa Di Lenticchie Di Norcia provides a comforting and nourishing option. To complement the main courses, a variety of traditional Contorni (side dishes) are available, from Patate Al Forno to Funghi Trifolati, each prepared to highlight the natural flavors of the ingredients. The dedication to quality is evident in every bite, making Barbaresco a place where both the food and the atmosphere are crafted with care and passion.

February 16 · LaraThe most kind gem in NYC, as a regular solo diner I find this the most cozy to treat myself to a very long dinner and enjoy whatever the chef selects. Perfect in summer outside and cozy in the winter. Prices are perfect and the food is always amazing. Servers—- ask for Charlie— so sweet and attentive.
December 31 · Casey GoldenWe walked in with a reservation for Saturday lunch. The gnocchi was fantastic. As was the the ravioli. A short walk from Bloomingdales. Very romantic and the service was superb. Pricing was reasonable for upper east side dining. The Gnocchi was reasonably priced for lunch at $14. The portion was generous. A must in upper east side. In a nutshell quiet and romantic setting with superb Italian fare.
May 13 · Laura GrubbWonderful hospitality and service. Great local spots with warm and welcoming staff ! Traditional italian eatery.
March 08 · MEGA_ nemThe pasta with meat sauce is the best we ever had. That's from my wife and son as well. The service was spot on and all the appetizers and entrees were fresh and delicious. I had the tiramisu, fresh, fresh and fresh!
