Ode to Bareburger.This review will reek of paid advertorial…But…. This is NOT a sponsored post. In fact… they reached out a while back asking if I wanted to promote them on IG in exchange for a meal… I said “heck yeah” and never heard back, but I don’t care because I LOVE THEM.When my family first moved to Westchester from San Francisco, Bareburger was the place where I could go on a date with my toddlers and know that they were eating whole food made with clean ingredients, but that also tasted amazing. I could also somehow custom order a BLT with avocado on whole grain toast for under $5? I did this for several years until someone at corporate was like… huh? And back in the day… they also served a small size of beer so that this old mommy of two under 5… could chillax mid-day with small glass of Blue Moon. (They have a full bar and happy hour is from 12-7… wholesome don’t have to be boring!)Little did I know, that years later… I would come to rely on this restaurant as one of the only truly safe restaurants for people with Celiac disease.I have mentioned that both of our kids were diagnosed with Celiac disease last year. Dining out has proven to be the biggest challenge.I don’t want this post to be all about gluten safe eating… but it has been nothing short of a miracle. Their popcorn chicken… not appropriately named.. as they are big beautiful chunks of chicken breast… have always been GF. I’m a bit of a nugget connoisseur and these nuggets are everything a nugget should be. Meaty and juicy with a crazy crunchy not-too-thick coating. The fries … amazing… reg and sweet potato… are fried in a designated fryer! And you can get anything on a delicious GF bun.GF portion complete.I LOVE a menu with a variety of offerings. I’m a mood eater. If you are feeling like you need some greens… the salads are excellent and you can get them in two sizes… aaaand if you want to be a little naughty… you can get those crunchy nuggets on top.I feel like they have expanded their menu a ton.They have added tacos… (not on the website?) and they are delicious. Yes… they are $20 for three… but the three are big and each made w two tortillas… easily shareable. and Tuesdays they have buy one order… get the second FREE.They have always offered an array of burgers… grass fed beef, bison and elk!… hence the name, but now they added a really good Pat Lafrieda wagyu smash burger… starting at just under $8! Healthy and whole… doesn’t mean non-fat or non-flavor… just no crappy ingredients and preservatives. I’ve been eating Bareburger for over 10 years, as a vegetarian and now a vegan. I’m so happy I have one not even 10 minutes away from my home now! The inside is super cute and has the TV playing cartoons as all Bareburger’s do. Food is perfect as always, along with my drink, and the service was amazing! Everybody is so kind here. I will be back here quite often.

Every bite was rich, juicy, and packed with flavor.• Tempura Cauliflower: Glazed in jalapeño BBQ – bold, crispy, and unforgettable.• Sweet Potato Fries: Tossed in shredded Asiago, bacon, scallions, and pickled jalapeños, then dunked in spicy ranch. I have to say, I’m extremely disappointed with the service we received today. My wife and I are longtime fans of Bareburger and frequently visit various locations across the city. So naturally, we were excited when a location opened near us in Dobbs Ferry.Unfortunately, our most recent visit—with family friends—was frustrating from start to finish. Despite several empty tables outdoors, we waited 11 minutes to be seated, followed by another 9 minutes before anyone came to take our drink order.We attempted to order a pitcher of Pineapple Express from the menu provided, but our server asked us four separate times for the name of the drink, clearly unsure of what we were referencing. She then returned to inform us that they had just received new menus and could not actually serve pitchers, despite it being listed.We politely asked if the manager might be able to accommodate us given the situation, but the answer was a flat “no.” After that, we waited another 12 minutes for our server to return—she never did. At that point, we decided to leave.To the staff at this location: you need to do better. A bit of training—perhaps from your Hartsdale or Forest Hills teams—would go a long way in improving the customer experience.
