For the beef carpaccio I ask for fresh cracked pepper on top. For my escargot I ask for extra garlic. This place is loved which is why they have so many regulars. If you wanted a quiet place this doesn’t quite check that box. I find this place welcoming. Food is consistent. Service is attentive without being overly attentive which is nice. Lighting is dimmed to fit the time of day. Valet is $10.
May 22 · Mona GarzaWe went on Mother’s Day. Very loud and crowded. Interiors are dilapidated, feels like haven’t been cleaned for a while dark inside. We asked for patio seating and being told, “there is no space”, same amount of 4 young ladies were sitting down next to us, but the manager immediately came over and said “ why you girls sitting at this corner, come on let me get you a better table!” Obviously they have a preference for who they give good tables to.Waiter was extremely nice and considerate, but this is river oak, food is very expensive, 4 shrimps for $33 as Raw bar.
