★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We came here for a casual date night and really wanted to see whether its as good as the original place. The ambience is beautiful with a nice old fashioned royal seating. Dimly lit and nicely decorated. The waiters and managers keep checking on the table which is a good thing.Service is a bit slow. Coming on to food, we ordered Palka chaat, veg seekh kebab, kafhai paneer, dal bukhara and naan. Palak chaat was flavourful but veg seekh kebabs were really bland and tasted like nothing. Kadai paneer and dal were also basic and does not live up to the hype. The flavours are very subtle mostly catered to American palates. Naan was soft, we skipped the desert.
June 27 · Divya Mishra5 Stars all around! We were welcomed into the restaurant as they were preparing for a crowd. They were courteous to let us sit before our reservation. The food was authentic North Indian, we would say the best we’ve had near theLittle India” of Manhattan. The Rosemary Nanna was enough for 3! And presented beautifully. The Daal Bukhara, Trio Kebab, Spicy Calamari, Carrot Halwa and Keer. Absolutely delicious!! We are definitely coming back to try more and take pictures next time!
July 27 · Nina RamondoI’d heard about Bukhara Grill for years—its legacy tied to the legendary location at a five-star hotel in New Delhi—so visiting their NYC outpost had long been on my list. I finally made it for a weekday lunch. Though I had a reservation, it wasn’t necessary—the space was comfortably busy but not full, and there was no buffet. The ambiance was warm, with an old-world charm, and though service was a bit slow, the manager personally checked on each table, adding a thoughtful touch. We started with complimentary roasted papad and freshly made chutneys—simple yet full of flavor. For drinks, we had their homestyle lemonade and a fresh lime soda. The lemonade, sweetened lightly with honey and brightened with real lemon, was a standout—a perfect escape from the summer heat.Appetizers kicked off with their Bukhara Special Tangri Kebab: three perfectly grilled chicken legs, smoky and juicy inside—hands down one of the best kebabs I’ve had in years. For mains, we shared the laal maas—a Rajasthani-style goat curry with a rich, onion-tomato base—and their signature Dal Bukhara. The dal was velvety, luxurious, and deeply tomato-forward, with cubes of butter melting through—delicious, though slightly reminiscent of pizza sauce due to the tomato intensity. We paired everything with buttery aloo paratha, flaky lachha paratha, and their massive cilantro-chili naan, all served piping hot and fresh. Portions were generous—we couldn’t finish and had to pack the rest.Dessert was off the table—we were stuffed. But if you’re a fan of North Indian or Northwest Frontier cuisine, this place is a must-visit. Come hungry, and don’t skip the kebabs or the tandoor.
June 04 · Debisree RayOverpriced ! Okayish Taste of Food ! Rude Staff ! Disappointed !We recently visited this restaurant after reading lots of good reviews but, we were very disappointed !We ordered following :-1. Dal Bukhara - 2/5 ( Presentation was good, but taste okayish)2. Paneer Tikka - 1/5 ( Worst, The Just marinated it and served !)3. Garlic Naan - Good4. Papad - Complimentary and Good5. Chutney - All three were tasteless (althought it was complimentary)Manager was polite and humble, but staff was very rude. As soon as they understood we wont be ordering much (we were 2 people) , they ignored us. And, we saw it on the face of person who was taking the order. Few waiters didn't know what they are serving. This was not the way to treat customers.Need to work on taste of food and quality of service considering the price they are charging for each item.
July 02 · Ashish AniMy friends and I had the most amazing meal here. The moment you walk in, you feel like you have been transported. The roti was not only huge but packed with so much flavor. We had the goat curry, butter chicken, lentils and a few appetizers (not pictured). Our favorite appetizer was the Palak Chaat which was a crispy spinach dish that I’ve never tried before and it was delicious and refreshing! Everything hit the spot. Not only was the food good but the service was exceptional. Everyone was friendly with big smiles and never hesitated to get us what we needed to make sure we had a good experience. I can’t wait to visit again and try more dishes on the menu!
