The food was excellent, and I have to say, the restaurant and bar are surprisingly nice. I’ve been shopping here on and off for decades, but this was only my second time dining at the restaurant. It definitely won’t be my last. I’ll be back for sure.

Went here around 3:30 for their new happy hour and enjoyed every bit of it. We tried the Arancini (fried risotto with cheese) $5, the spicy spinach Alfredo dip with chips $5 and the garlic parmesan wings 10 for $7. The happy hour prices are unbeatable. Delicious, fresh food for amazing prices. Will definitely be back soon. Great job! 👏

I want to make clear this review is specifically for the restaurant, not the market. I’ve dined here a few times in the afternoon, and a few times for private events. The space is very large and has a seating and accessibility for all types of people. Starting with the positives, they have one of the best backbars around. Almost any kind of liquor you could ever want or imagine is sitting on the backbar for pours, which is relatively unique in central Ohio. Everything is also priced extremely reasonably, and the portions offered are fair. However, for a place that I think has one of the best specialty markets and wine shops in the city, the food is just so sub-par. The menu always seems limited, the freshness of the ingredients always seems hit or miss, the concepts aren’t unique or very stimulating, and the variety of types of dishes you can get even for an Italian restaurant seem lacking. In addition to this even though they have an amazing bottle shop 10 feet away, all of the wine pour selections seem more to reflect the caliber of food they’re serving instead of highlighting any unique options available to them. The service is always friendly and kind, but never the most attentive. Will probably keep returning ever so often, but wish there was more done with the massive potential.

Solid Italian food, all things considered. Every dish is customizable for your selection of protein/pasta type/sauce.Their tomato sauce is their best sauce. The vodka sauce was like real vodka sauce and buttered noodles had a baby. Don’t get it if you’re a fan of real vodka sauce, you will be disappointed.Meatballs are fantastic. Bread was solid. Butter is good, light, spreadable, and well salted.Do dine-in, takeout here can be unreliable. Their food is better when eaten immediately. And once when I got takeout, they forgot the meatballs with the spaghetti & meatballs dish. That was a disappointing lunch.

Went to Carfagnas for a second time, as we had a gift card to finish using. The first time we went, food was eh, chicken piccata was so overly salty we ended up having to send it back. Replaced with the ziti, which was dry and overcooked. Decided not to say anything, tipped WELL, and left. Tonight we brought our one year old grandson and we ordered him the meat ravioli off the kids menu. It’s a generous portion! He ate some at the restaurant and we took the rest home. The rest of the food was again, subpar. Tonight when reheating I discovered some sort of wood or something in the ravioli. It was buried within the meat in a ravioli we had not cut into previously. It seems almost a piece off of a basket. It’s sharp enough that had I not seen it and he swallowed it, could have been bad. Restaurant is closed so no one to speak with. PLEASEEEE be more careful, this could have ended much worse. Probably won’t be dining in the restaurant again, we’ll stick to the deli.
