★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Did not disappoint. The food was delicious. We started with the chip and dip( Liberian greens served with plantain chips) was very good. A delightful twist on chip and dip. We also had the mini pies ( 1 veggie and 1 meat). They were a very nice start to our meal. I had a wotojito which is a watermelon and rum cocktail. It wasn’t sweet as I thought it would be and not very tasty in my opinion. My sister in law had the irie punch and it was very tasty and tropical. My sister in law had the Golden dish and she absolutely loved it. I had the Black Star with shrimp and it was very flavorful. The curry was different from what I’m used to but it was very good. The rice had a smoky flavor which absolutely made the dish. The food was excellent. We finished our dinner with the plantain bread and it was the perfect ending to a great dinner. The waitstaff needs to look a little more professional. They did not reflect the vibe of the restaurant. Our waiter however was great. He was very knowledgeable of the menu and answered all questions asked. The atmosphere was very chill and laid back. The parking was not the best. You can’t park behind the restaurant because you risk being towed. Street parking and parking in the front of the restaurant as well as the parking lot to the right of the restaurant is available. It was a great restaurant and I will more than likely visit again.
August 15 · christina frederickDinner was amazing 10/10!!!75-80% of the food on the menu is gluten-free. Which is vital for my husband. It was a cute little spot, earthy/warm atmosphere, and had a very diverse crowd! Although, I came out with friends, I'm bringing my husband with me next time.My appetizer came out within 5 minutes and the main course seems like it was less than 8 minutes; definitely quick service!I ordered plantains as an appetizer (not the classic-style, and it was soo good) and the chopped salad with a choice of a protein and 5 toppings. I chose grilled chicken (double chicken as I have a high-protein intake diet), black-eye peas, radishes, pickled onions, tomatoes, and cucumbers! The grilled chicken was truly grilled. It was crunchy and tender at the same time!Valet service available, tip-based only!Con:Although, I didn't see the restroom, my friend, who was with me, said it could have been a little cleaner.
June 15 · S. PerkinsMy daughter loves this restaurant and she took me for Mother’s Day. Every dish was so aromatic and flavorful. Staff was friendly and service was great. It was really busy but we received our food fast. We really enjoyed this beautiful restaurant! This spot has such a dope vibe!
August 02 · Mel JohnsonGreat food! Very contemporary and elegant interior design. Lovely atmosphere, perfect for brunch or a date night. We got the Liberian greens with plantains, the beef and veggie pies (the veggie ones tasted better!), and the golden bowl and Senegalese peanut sauce bowl. 10/10 would recommend. They also have delicious mocktails, the hibiscus tea one is so delicious
July 03 · Ela MitchellMy fiance surprised me for dinner & we loved it. We celebrate his birthday with delicious food, amazing service & the vibes were immaculate. Chefs kiss. Cannot wait to return with the besties. We had the golden w/ chicken & black star w/ steak (extra plantains & extra curry). Literally cannot stop talking about how good it was! 10/10 recommend!
