The raw bar is a great place to start. Many reviewers, including local patrons, rave about the oysters. One customer review notes that they are "some of the best oysters in the city," particularly praising the "higher salinity" varieties and the restaurant's homemade vinegar, which is a perfect pairing. The oyster sampler is a great way to explore the diverse selection, which changes regularly based on what's fresh and available from the market next door. This direct-from-market freshness is a key selling point and a major reason why the raw bar is such a popular choice.

The lobster rolls, both hot and cold, are also a top choice. Known for their generous, meaty portions and served with perfectly seasoned fries, they are a luxurious and satisfying meal that epitomizes classic New England seafood. For a truly unique experience, don't miss the Banana Pudding for dessert. A reviewer called it a "pleasant surprise," loving the "crispy caramel layer" and "well balanced" flavor, a clear indication that the restaurant’s talent extends beyond savory dishes.
Finally, the daily "Catch of the Day" is always an amazing choice, according to a regular customer. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1An authentic restaurant with delicious food and lovely staff. Everything is fresh and cooked to perfection. One of my favorite spots in Manhattan! Catch of the day is always an amazing choice. Some of the best oysters in the city, crab, scallops, mussels… the works! ♥️♥️♥️
July 29 · Olivia RamosI came on the last day of the restaurant week during happy hour. I had an oyster sampler before finally decided to get the pre-fixe menu.I love the higher salinity oysters. And their homemade vinegar is the perfect pair. If I had enough space in my stomach I would have ordered another round. The stone crab is also meaty and cooked just right, with a little bit of natural salinity. The pre-fixe meal is about the same price as the regular menu, but saves me from the decidophobia. I had the- New ENGLAND clam chowder: creamy, tasty, and full of crabmeat?. The flavor is just right - not too salty. Will order again.-grilled octopus: the octopus is very tender. I like the smokey charred outside, but the sauce and the beans are too salty.-banana puddin: a pleasant surprise! I wasn't expecting the pudding to be presented this way, but the flavor and texture is very well balanced! The crispy caramel layer is soo good with the custard and banana chunk. Thanks to the staffs who recommended this.

Located in Chelsea Market, this place delivers an incredible dining experience from start to finish. The seafood is exceptionally fresh, with a menu that showcases the best of what the ocean has to offer. Their oysters are some of the best I’ve had—perfectly shucked, briny, and delicious. The lobster roll is phenomenal, packed with tender, buttery lobster meat, and the grilled octopus is cooked to perfection.Beyond the food, the atmosphere is fantastic—bustling but not overwhelming, with a stylish yet welcoming vibe. The service is attentive and knowledgeable, always ready to recommend the best pairings or daily specials.Whether you’re a seafood aficionado or just looking for an amazing meal in NYC, Cull & Pistol delivers on all fronts. Highly recommend!
February 23 · Emanuel PascalWe always get the lobster poutine when we visit and it never disappoints. We love it with extra cheese curds and gravy and it makes for an excellent indulgence. We also ordered the scallops and asked for it just be pan seared and it was perfectly cooked and well seasoned.
