★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We had a pleasant experience overall. Server was very friendly and attentive. Food didn’t wow us. Veal parm was very very chewy in some spots. Bolognese was average, spaghetti tasted like it was out of a box but meat was yummy. Bread was nothing to rave about. Prices were very reasonable.
June 06 · Alan DagesseDa Tommaso is the most under-rated italian restaurant in the theater district. The food is exactly what you'd expect from a restaurant that has survived in Manhattan for decades. Their Tortellini Gratinata is something very special, and their other dishes are consistently excellent. We love to mix and match dishes since there are no weak items in the menu. The service is wonderful as well. My wife and I have started ordering meals to go after having a baby, and when we're running late, they somehow keep everything hot like it was just prepared. The staff are very friendly and always ask about the family when one of us drops by.I'm writing this review on Mother's Day, and Da Tommaso was the right choice to make dinner at home special.Wishing the staff all the best!
May 11 · OliverI tried their bean with pasta soup. It looked better than it tasted, it was bland. Their salmon with a mustard sauce was a case of overkill with the sauce, resulting in little to no taste of the salmon.
April 06 · Harvey MessingMy son happened to see this restaurant whilst sightseeing and suggested this. Wasn't bad at all. A very cosy ambience, fast service, and the food was really good. Typical Italian, and we loved it. The dessert that my son and husband had too was thoroughly enjoyed by them.
October 17 · Arthi BucherRefuse to gate-keep this authentic, fresh local gem nestled into an area that would many times be a tourist trap. We made substitutions for the pasta itself for preference and it was perfect. Started with the ravioli in vodka sauce; amazing, sauce had so much depth of flavor, ravioli was delicate and yet filling. Fusilli in pesto sauce; al dente to perfection, freshest & perfect texture sauce. Pollo Romana was delicious; while we didn’t love the presentation, we couldn’t stop raving about the sauce. We finished every plate (see attached), that speaks for itself. Good wine selections, fair pricing. Friendly server. Found my go-to pre show restaurant.
