★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Eisenberg’s Sandwich Shop… a true NYC classic. We came for the Jewish diner vibe you see in the movies, and trust me, we got the full cinematic experience. I ordered an egg cream (which made me question why I ever drink soda), a matzo ball soup that could cure all my bad decisions, and their famous beef pastrami sandwich—worth every penny and then some. The egg cream? Top tier. One of the best in the city. The vibe? Old-school, fair prices, staff that treats you like family—if your family actually likes you. If you’ve only got one day in NYC, skip Times Square and come here. Can’t wait to go back (and by “can’t wait” I mean I’m probably going tomorrow).
August 09 · Eric HelferichOld school deli in midtown-ish area with limited seating at the counter and in the back. Good old-fashioned Jewish deli like I remember from the 80’s.
August 25 · c hartHad to wait a bit for my pastrami Reuben sandwich but it was worth every second, every calorie, and every penny. I died and went to heaven for a few minutes while eating it. Definitely ate a salad for dinner but I can’t wait to eat it again!!
July 31 · Shirley ParkUnbelievably good food and nice serviceHighly recommend pastrami rubenTwo thumbs up for Eisenberg’s
July 27 · Minji KangCannot say enough good things about this place. One of our very favorite spots, which we visited three times on our trip. They serve the BEST hot pastrami on rye we had in the city, matzo ball soup that tastes exactly like my grandma's, and incredible breakfasts. This place is an institution, and the atmosphere is as addictive as the food.
