The menu at El Maco is an extensive and mouth-watering collection of Dominican favorites, designed to satisfy any craving at any time of day. The lunch and dinner menus are particularly rich and varied. The Mofongos are a major highlight, with options like Mofongo de Camarones (shrimp mofongo) and Mofongo de Chicharrón de Cerdo (fried pork rind mofongo). Another standout is the Frituras, which are platters of various fried meats and sides, perfect for sharing. The Orders section offers a wide range of main courses, from Rabo (oxtail) and Chuleta Frita (fried pork chop) to a variety of seafood options like Pescado (fish) and Salmón (salmon). El Maco also serves a variety of Soups, including Sancocho and Sopa De Res (beef soup). For those looking for lighter options, they offer grilled dishes like Pechuga a la Plancha (grilled chicken breast) and Camarones al Ajillo (garlic shrimp). The menu is so extensive that there is something for every taste, whether you're in the mood for a quick lunch special or a full, leisurely dinner. This impressive breadth of options is a key reason for the restaurant's popularity and long-standing appeal to the local community.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Wow! Honestly the best Dominican food in all BX!! I am extra picky when it comes to restaurant Dominican food because they have lost the authenticity of the flavor.. however THIS RESTAURANT.. AMAZINGGG.
August 11 · alondra pichardoit breaks my heart to write this review. I have been a loyal customer of this restaurant for over a year now. Today, I ordered "pechurinas, guandules, and white rice" for lunch. when I order lunch, I share with my toddler, and as usual today I ate my part and left some for him. Once he got home, I was getting ready to warm up his food. when I served the guandules, a worm was in the guandules. I just felt like vomiting. I feel sick to my stomach just thinking I ate this and almost served my toddler. when I called the restaurant hoping there was some sort of protocol in place if something like this happened. I was told" we are sorry we can send you something else." "we honestly have no control of things like as our guandules come in a can and they come cooked. we just remove the water and cook it. " I went on to say that even if it comes in a can, it needs to be rinsed or washed. the lady was apologetic and mentioned she would inform the owner and no longer do business with the vendor. I am honestly in shock. the thought of feeding my toddler just makes me sick. I asked several times if they want pictures and she said "no is ok no proof is required" which makes me believe this is normal or just don't care.
January 06 · Lisseth NThe food at this restaurant is really good; it tastes homemade! The location/neighborhood is dangerous; high crime rate.
March 11 · GonzalezThey start it out good but lately they been cooking with way too much salt!!! Service depends on the day is fast sometimes is slow. When they first start it the food was so good now is nothing but salt!!!!
September 03 · nathii2805The food is ok. The only plate that has really stood out to me when it comes to taste is their “pollo al cadero”. I’ve been here on numerous occasions. Trying a different plate each time. The price for the order I would say is a bit on the high end when compared to prices and quantity of other near by establishments. Their pork meat is usually on the undercooked side, the boneless chicken breast is very bland. With that being said owner and employees are awesome great attention to service, and always seem eager to please. If you do visit try the “pollo al caldero” you will not be disappointed.
