The empanadas were decent, most of them tasted pretty similar but I did appreciate the variety on the menu and the overall concept of the place. That said, I was disappointed to see a B grade from the NYC Health Department posted outside, and it’s been there for quite a while now.The interior didn’t feel clean, and it looked messy behind the counter, which made me a bit uncomfortable. I really want to like this place more, but between the long-standing B grade and the condition of the space I don’t feel confident returning right now.I noticed the owner responds to reviews, so I’d like to ask:Have any steps been taken toward correcting the violations and requesting a re-inspection for an A grade? I understand re-inspections can take time, but a B means there were 14–27 violation points, and as a customer, that raises concern about food safety and cleanliness.I hope you take this into consideration. I’d genuinely like to return someday if improvements are made.

I actually like this place! One of my colleagues visited Empanadas yesterday to get amazing juices. There are all-natural and made with “amor.” I would keep going back, especially during the summer days. A refreshing meal or drink and we are good for the day.

This spot use to be good, went in to make to make an order. They didn’t have any on display and I was even notified that I had to wait. When I ask for my order she then tells me they have to be made and she need to ask the cook how much longer. When she approaches the cook in the back turns out she never put in my order to begin with. I then ask for a soda separately and she tells me I can’t pay with my card because I paid my first order in cash. RIDICULOUS.

I used to order from here often and then i dont know what happened the service became absolute shit. You order on doordash uber or instacart and they cancel your order because the prices on the apps are lower than in store, they can’t follow simple instructions and constantly cancel orders because they are absolutely incompetent and cant update their prices on the apps.

A little piece of DR, I suggest ordering fresh empanadas and waiting for them to be ready, steam ready ones may be too burnt at times and loose flavor, this can be avoided by just waiting a few extra minutes.Will be back to try the rest of the menu, so Far the Bacon, Cheese & Corn empanada was my favorite 😍
