★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Food is a hit or miss, the Mac and cheese is always good it’s actually the best thing they sell! Also the salmon and the yellow rice is good, and the whole fish. Fruits are good and salad is good but you have to kind of pick thru salad sometimes. I love the cucumbers!!! Food is not rich in flavor it’s kind of like bland but not bland - I recommend going early as possible, late evening to late night is like leftovers cause it’s been sitting there all day. Juice is always good! They have iced tea, lemonade, and fruit punch and it’s really cheap - a small is $2 and a large is $2.50 which is really good because usually restaurants like such charge like $4 for juices like those. Place is clean and staff are nice. The owner is the best!! Food is about $10 per pound so you’re going to pay between $10-20, $20-30 and sometimes even $30 something dollars depending on how much food you get! I believe over time they will get better, they’re not perfect but there are foods you can find that you like.
June 06 · Kiecha LeeFrom the moment me and my family walked in, we felt like we’re being welcomed home. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with the comforting aromas of slow-cooked goodness drifting through the air. Every dish we tried was a celebration of flavor and tradition — from the perfectly seasoned fried chicken with a crispy golden crust to the tender collard greens that tasted like they were made with love. The mac and cheese was rich and creamy, the cornbread was soft with just the right hint of sweetness, and the candied yams melted in my mouth. What truly stood out, though, was the service — friendly, attentive, and full of Southern hospitality. This wasn’t just a meal; it was an experience that nourishes the body and soul.Empire Soul food Restaurant isn't just a place to eat; it's a place to connect with history, flavor, and genuine hospitality. If you're looking for authentic soul food that warms you from the inside out, look no further. This is a must-visit!We will definitely be back soon!
May 11 · sidiki ouedraogoI decided to stop by restaurant after running some errands in the Harlem area. As a former New Yorker and a soul food lover, i must admit that the food is short of anything but good taste and quality. It is a very nice and clean atmosphere in the heart of Harlem. I would definitely recommend anybody that is in the Harlem area to stop by Empire soul food. It is a great experience overall. They have A+ on my books!
June 12 · Serge Loua ValletGiving this place a 1 star not because the food is bad it’s okay honestly. This time I went I was asking to go the bathroom and they told me customers only. Even after telling them I’ve eaten here before, I was still declined. I give this 1 star review because these people don’t care for their community and their service is terrible. I will not come back here again.
