While one past review highlighted a negative experience with a specific salad, the overall consensus for Forty Carrots is that it is a worthwhile dining destination, particularly for certain menu items. The primary reason to visit is, without a doubt, the famous frozen yogurt. It has been a beloved treat for decades and is an essential part of the Forty Carrots experience. The restaurant has also expanded its frozen yogurt offerings to include new and exciting creations, such as the matchagato, which has received rave reviews for its unique and delicious combination of flavors.
Beyond the dessert, the menu offers a number of solid choices. The salads, while one review noted an issue, are generally described as fresh, huge, and filling. The "Forty Carrots Chopped Salad" is a signature dish, packed with a variety of ingredients from grilled chicken to hard-boiled eggs. Another popular salad is the "Mango Chicken Salad," which offers a sweet and savory blend of flavors with goat cheese and candied walnuts.
The sandwiches and wraps are also a reliable option for a quick bite, with classics like the "Classic Tuna Salad" and the "Sonoma Chicken Salad" being go-to choices for many regulars. Forty Carrots is also known for its fresh-squeezed juices and smoothies, which are a great way to get a healthy, refreshing boost.
Ultimately, what is worth choosing at Forty Carrots is the combination of its iconic offerings and its convenient location. It serves as a perfect escape from a long day of shopping, offering a chance to sit down, recharge with a healthy meal, and indulge in a classic New York treat. Despite the isolated negative feedback, the restaurant's longevity and popularity suggest that its fresh food and famous frozen yogurt continue to provide a satisfying experience for the majority of its customers. It's a place that offers a bit of nostalgia and a lot of flavor, making it a must-try for both first-time visitors and longtime fans.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1For this restaurant to be in Bloomingdales, it was a big disappointment. The staff seemed annoyed to be working. I got a grab and go salad and some of the salad was wilted. In addition, halfway through the salad I found a very short black hair. I have long strawberry blond hair. Needless to say, I did not finish my meal.
November 21 · Amber Gray-KurzThey have so many new fun drinks. I got this matchagato and it’s match with vanilla froyo !!!!!! Absolutely amazing a must try
June 29 · Iliana ManganielloLocated on the second floor inside Bloomingdale’s. We went on a Sunday afternoon around 4pm, most of the frozen yogurt toppings were already sold out (including all the fruit toppings ), we got two 8oz cups, one of plain froyo and the other chocolate/peanut butter mix (they ran out of the peanut butter froyo after our order). As you can see from the pictures, the 8oz size of froyo is HUGE as they do a lot of swirls. We got the almond toppings - but I cannot believe the almond toppings were $3… and two 8oz froyo with nothing but almond toppings ended up costing us $24! Very expensive for froyo, especially compared to other froyo places like pinkberry.Taste was just ok - the plain flavor was similar to the tart flavor, but I still preferred pinkberry’s tart flavor. While I appreciated the huge serving of froyo - it’s a bit too much for 8oz cup…
May 19 · GinaYes it’s pricey but their coffee ($4) is always fresh and so good. Before Covid we came here frequently to relax after a long day of sightseeing and shopping in Soho. Absolutely beautiful Sunday today and guessing everyone is in the park since the store isn’t crazy busy as usual, including the cafe with plenty of seats.
