The staff were super friendly and made the experience really enjoyable especially Marcia! Restaurant was definitely on the louder side, but that’s pretty normal for a busy weekend around noon. Overall, great spot and I’d happily come back.

We enjoyed some wine and ordered a pizza, some pasta, a salad, and oysters mushrooms, and everything was delicious. The service was good, the runners were excellent, and the chefs were very friendly and smiley. Highly recommend it!

The servers and hostess were outstanding, the food and drinks were good and our server was great at helping me find vegan options and steering me away from veggies prepared with butter which I really appreciated!
August 01 · Lynette KamimuraThis was our first time dining at Gjelina and it was an interesting experience.We’d made reservations for a table but decided to sit at the bar, which had a nice ambiance. Just note, you may have people occasionally bumping into your chair, even though there is plenty of space between the chairs and wall. They also have outdoor dining.In terms of service, the reception staff were accommodating, but our server did not come across as being very friendly.They also have some strict guidelines on ordering:1. Food orders can only be placed once at the same time. We tried to order oysters first for appetizers while we looked at the rest of the menu, but were told we needed place our full order.2. No changes can be made to the dishes. One of the dishes had garlic sprinkled at the top, which they refused to not sprinkle. I understand no substitutions, but this was just removing the very last step.The food would have been even more enjoyable with the option for some adjustments, but it was still very delicious.For food, we ordered:- Oysters - half dozen- Burrata- Summer Squash- Sunchoke- Mushroom ToastBesides some of the oysters which were not shucked well, every single dish was so delicious I would recommend them all. The ingredients were fresh and they were well prepared.The Mushroom Toast, topped with plenty of mushrooms, was one of my favorites.The Burrata was nice and refreshing, especially with the peaches.The Sunchoke, which are roots of sunflowers, I tried for the first time in my life and also enjoyed very much.As long as you don’t need modifications made to your order, I would highly recommend the food here.
