★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Alright soI tried the honey-roasted pork and duck combo, and let me tell you, it was quite an experience! I was a bit nervous at first since I've never had roasted pork before, and my closest experience to roasted duck was curried duck. But I dove right in!Personally, I preferred the pork. It was flavorful, tender, and just melted in my mouth. The honey glaze added a touch of sweetness that complemented the savory pork perfectly. The duck was also good, but it had too many bones for my liking, which made it a bit difficult to enjoy. And the best part? The prices are super affordable!Overall, it was a hearty and delicious meal that I would definitely recommend. If you're new to roasted pork like I was, this is a great way to try it out! Just be prepared for a few bones with the duck.
August 26 · MommyanaI’ve heard of this place many times because my friends always talked about them. I got really excited when I tried them. The line was long but it moved because the staff was efficient with their operations. We ordered some combination plates, a scrambled beef, and beef chow foon. The duck was so juicy and skin was crispy. Everything was what you expected classic Cantonese dishes to be - perfection. They have a few seats in the back and people are quick to eat and leave so we were able to secure 4 seats. The experience at Hay Hay was amazing.
May 25 · Sammi ChanWe had an absolutely incredible experience at HayHay this morning! My mom & I were visiting Chinatown before our flight out and wanted to have some great cuisine. This placed absolutely surpassed our expectations! We ordered the BBQ Pork w/Honey Sauce and the Roasted Duck. Both were delicious but the BBQ pork was my favorite! The soy sauce they serve here is delicious! My mom asked what kind they used and the man at the counter told it is a homemade secret. He also said the combination of the soy sauce and the half lean/half fat meat on the rice is what really gives it that wonderful flavor. He also let us sample the crispy pork which had the crunchiest & most flavorful skin. You could definitely taste the 5 spice! I want to come back to NY ASAP just for Hay Hay!
July 10 · McKenzie ReimannReally caving some Chinese Roasted Duck and Char Siu my friend and I ventured into Hay Hay Roasted. This place was perfect. It didn’t have as long of a line as some other more famous places, but it was stellar. The texture and flavor were fantastic and they offer a whole range of sauces including my favorite ginger scallion oil. Everything was perfect and the place actually offers some seating which was awesome to see. I would definitely come back there for the roast meats.
July 02 · Anthony Giang**drooling** the meat here is the best!Things you should know:I. SERVICEThis restaurant is CASH ONLY so come prepared. There's usually a crowd at the register during lunch and dinner hours.II. QUALITYPlease order the Peking Duck or the rice dish with duck! It'll never need sauce or seasoning ~ it's perfect as is!III. CAPACITYVery very slim seating. I would recommend ordering take out, they package well and are efficient.
