There are many reasons why Hi-Collar is a worthy choice for your next outing, but some things truly stand out. The omurice, a fluffy Japanese omelet served over rice, is a consistent fan favorite. While the classic version is excellent, many regulars highly recommend the Hayashi Omurice, which features a savory, rich demi-glace sauce that is more flavorful than the original tomato sauce. The Katsu Sandwich is another must-try, though it’s important to note that it's often limited in servings per day, so it’s best to get there early if you want to try this incredible dish.
Beyond the savory, the desserts are a huge draw. The Japanese Hot Cakes are a delightful, fluffy indulgence that are a must-order. For coffee lovers, the ability to choose your bean and brewing method provides a level of customization and quality rarely seen in most cafes. Reviewers also rave about the unique fermented guava coffee, describing it as "absolutely amazing" and "very very unique." For those who are not coffee or alcohol drinkers, the tea selection is also excellent.
What makes Hi-Collar truly special is its dual identity as a cafe by day and a bar by night. This creates a versatile space that caters to a wide range of needs and times of day. Whether you're in the mood for a quiet afternoon with a perfectly brewed coffee and a slice of fruit sandwich, or a lively evening with jazz music, sake, and small plates, Hi-Collar delivers. The atmosphere and attention to detail, from the decor to the carefully prepared dishes and drinks, make it a true hidden gem in a city of endless options. While there may be a wait, the experience is consistently described as being well worth it.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Best omurice! We both loved the hayashi omurice which is more flavorful than the original tomato sauce (not as balanced). Also please come for brunch and order one of their speciality coffees. We had the Hana (very smooth) and some special fermented guava coffee which was absolutely amazing. Very very unique. Long lines without reservations.
May 26 · H LWHAT. A. VIBE! I felt like I was back in Japan when I walked into Hi-Collar. Beautiful atmosphere, amazing staff and great food. We went on a Sunday and they now have Jazz nights! We got to hear some great music while we were eating delicious food and drinking amazing sake. Perfect date night vibe.
July 15 · Haidar HachemThis restaurant is very cute and I've been meaning to stop by for the pancakes that everyone have been raving about. We ordered omurice, curry and a few other items. The food had good flavors, but it was nothing to write home about. The pancakes were pretty good but took a while to make. I'm not sure they were worth all the hype, but I would certainly eat the pancakes again. Overall: Good food, but expensive. If I come again, I will just order the pancakes.
May 27 · XinBeautiful restaurant, friendly staff. Omurice was perfect, coffee was very cool (tasted OK), coffee jelly was lacking sweetness and a bit too bitter. The bathrooms also have Japanese toilets :0
August 24 · Dylan KaoWe really enjoy eating here even with a baby.Omurice is amazing, specially the hayashi omurice. The rice is well cooked, nice texture and well combined with the egg and sauce.Dessert is okay compared to the price and the. We appreciate the berry hot cake with light texture and flavor balance more than the matcha (too thick)However, napolitan spaghetti is a fail. Ordered by curious but regret from the first bite. Really salty.Nice atmosphere, you can have little chat with friends without bothering other table.Wish that they have a high chair for baby!
