When you're looking for a meal in the Financial District, Indian King Biryani House is worth choosing for its exceptional food quality and great value. As one customer raved, the food is "fantastic" with a "very wide variety of foods." They highlighted their positive experience with the chicken over rice, veggie samosas, and a chicken gyro, all of which were "great." Another review specifically praised the "spicy" chicken kati rolls, calling them "amazing" and claiming that this is the "best halal truck in NYC!" This kind of enthusiastic feedback from local customers speaks volumes about the quality and flavor of the food.
The restaurant’s specialization in biryani is a major selling point. As the name suggests, it is a key dish on the menu, and its popularity is confirmed by customer feedback. Another reviewer called their chicken biryani "delicious," noting that it's "freshly made" and comes in a large, reasonably priced portion. This commitment to fresh, authentic, and generously portioned food is a major draw. The menu’s variety, which includes not just Indian staples but also a fusion of Middle Eastern and even Chinese dishes, means there is always something new to try.
However, it's important to note that as with any food truck or quick-service establishment, individual experiences can vary. While the overall feedback is overwhelmingly positive, some online comments have mentioned potential issues like incorrect orders or slow service during peak hours, although this is to be expected given the high volume of customers. It's a place that's consistently praised for its food quality and value, making it a reliable and highly recommended spot for a flavorful and affordable meal. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Y'all gotta find this cart! The food is fantastic! We saw that they have a very wide variety of foods, but Indian is their specialty. We ordered chicken over pulau rice, veggie samosas, and a chicken gyro. All was great. Also, don't forget to order a masala chai!
May 31 · Guy BattersonWe had chicken Kati Rolls (spicy)! Amazing and well worth it! Best halal truck in NYC!
June 16 · Michele TuckerThis has to be one of the worse over rice bowls I have ever gotten. I am not understanding the hype.#1: Rice was undercooked or overcooked. It was very stale. Could be rice from the night before.#2: Chicken was overcooked, it was stringy and hard.#3: To much undesirable items in the bowl. While I do appreciate their effort of flavoring, I don’t want a whole massive stick of cinnamon, curry leave, and cardamom in my food.#4: Flavoring was off and tasted bizarre, I had the Chili chicken and lamb over rice.#5: 11$ is quite a bit, it seems like they are always increasing prices. No side salad. Portions are mid.If you want India food, go to an Indian restaurant (order lunch special to save money). If you want Street food go to another well rated cart.I also went here before a while back and had the same thoughts, so this is definitely not a one off thing. Never going here again. If you do decide to go, just know your stomach will hate you.Even by food truck standards, food was awful.
December 10 · Doc MaxwellI've been coming to this place for 15 years and every time they never miss. Always perfect. Mad flavor!!
