The restaurant's reputation for its "out of this world flavorful" broth is well-deserved. Each bowl is a testament to the time and care that goes into its preparation, from the perfectly cooked noodles to the savory toppings. While the restaurant can sometimes have a wait, it's a testament to its popularity and a sign that you're about to experience something truly special.
Beyond the ramen, IPPUDO has curated a menu of delicious small plates, or "starters," that are perfect for sharing. The bar onsite offers a variety of drinks, including an excellent selection of beer, sake, and cocktails, which perfectly complement the bold flavors of the ramen. This focus on a complete dining experience, from the first bite of an appetizer to the last spoonful of broth, is what makes IPPUDO Westside a staple for so many New Yorkers and visitors alike.

The menu at IPPUDO Westside offers a selection of stellar dishes, but a few items are absolutely essential to your visit. The main event is the ramen. The **SHIROMARU CLASSIC** is a perfect starting point, offering a rich and authentic tonkotsu broth that is the foundation of their success. For those who like a little spice, the **KARAKA SPICY** is a fantastic choice. The **MISO TONKOTSU** is another hearty and flavorful option. The vegetarian **AKAMARU VEGGIE** is a standout, and as one reviewer noted, IPPUDO has a few vegetarian options, showing their commitment to catering to all diets.
Beyond the ramen, the appetizers are a must-try. The most famous are, without a doubt, the **Pork Buns**. They are so popular and highly-praised that they have become a signature item, with one customer even ordering "two more to go." Other great starters include the **IPPUDO GYOZA**, **CHICKEN KARAAGE RICE**, and the savory **TAKOYAKI**.
For a unique side to your ramen, consider adding some toppings. The **AJITAMA** (seasoned soft-boiled egg) is a classic choice that adds a creamy richness to the broth. For dessert, the **HOJICHA PUDDING** or the **Tart Chocolate Ganache** (which a reviewer praised) provide a sweet and satisfying end to your meal.
What makes IPPUDO Westside worth choosing is the combination of its world-class ramen, delicious appetizers, and a lively, welcoming atmosphere. While some may find the decor a bit worn, the overall experience—from the exceptional service from staff members like "Peter" to the consistently amazing food—is what keeps people coming back. It’s a place that has a passionate fan base for a reason, and a visit here is a surefire way to get a taste of one of the best bowls of ramen in New York City.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1One of my favorite ramen in the city. Broth is out of this world flavorful. They were not busy when we got there close to opening. The cushions and tables have really started to show wear so would love to see that upgraded to enhance the vibe.
August 15 · Mandeep KaurThey have quite a few vegetarian Ramen options to choose from! 4-5 the last time I checked. The pork buns are, of course, the highlight of the entire experience. The Ramen closer to the camera is the Nirvana Classic, which is vegetarian. We had the tart chocolate ganache for dessert, which was really good. (like everything else) We liked the pork buns so much we ordered two more to go. 😭
June 10 · Felix PayneIppudo is a great restaurant. We order delivery from them frequently. But they’ve become dishonest recently in the portions given out on delivery. I’ve tried contacting the restaurant rather than resorting to public reviews, but they won’t answer the phone or respond to messages. It’s frankly disappointing. Here are photos of two orders of spicy cucumbers ($10 each). A great dish, but combined, literally 25% of one order you’d get in the restaurant. This is the third time this has happened to us. And it’s getting worse.
July 06 · Jonathan ConleyThis restaurant is very nice and has super nice service. The prices are a bit expensive for what you get food wise, but this is expected for being close to midtown NYC. I got the Miso Ramen, which was good and some Brooklyn Kura Sake which I was pleasantly surprised to see they had! Then glass serving of the Sake was great! They gave me a big glass so that was definitely worth the money.
May 31 · Kaydren NunoBaos were really small for the price and overall ramens were okay. Just another hyped up place. We came early in the morning just when they opened and pretty soon they were packed so I will definitely recommend skipping this place.
