★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1My recent lunch at Ivan Ramen was nothing short of extraordinary—probably the best ramen of my life!We arrived during lunch hours and were pleased to find it wasn't overcrowded, allowing for a relaxed dining atmosphere. The staff greeted us warmly and took time to explain their signature dishes, demonstrating both knowledge and passion for their menu.We started by sharing a pork bao which was absolutely succulent—tender, flavorful, and the perfect appetizer to set the stage for what came next. For our main course, we ordered two different ramens: one with chicken broth and one with pork. The chicken ramen was the standout star—just too good! Every spoonful revealed complex flavors that had clearly been developed with care and expertise. The pork ramen was also excellent, showcasing the versatility of the kitchen. The restaurant's thoughtful approach to traditional Japanese cuisine with innovative touches makes it a must-visit destination. We've already marked it on our map, and on our next trip to NYC, we will definitely be stopping there again! If you're a ramen enthusiast or simply looking for an exceptional dining experience in New York, Ivan Ramen should be at the top of your list.
March 23 · Brian PascoliSpectacular all around!Everything we tried was delicious. The seaweed kimchi was phenomenal, the ramen - out of this world (every single spoonful and every bite was divine), very interesting n/a drinks and the smoothest cheesecake. Very nice staff. We got there at around 3:45 p.m., and it was nearly empty. Food was served very quickly, and it's very convenient that you can pay through the QR code on your table. We were also really surprised by how low the prices were compared to the quality they offer! If we lived closer, I would eat there every day! Can't wait to go back!
July 27 · Nataliya PylypivIvan Ramen is a must-visit for anyone looking to experience ramen like never before! Thanks to a friend for bringing us here and encouraging us to watch the Chef's Table episode featuring Chef Ivan Orkin—a moving story that resonates deeply and is worth watching (grab a tissue and watch before you go!)We went on a night when the Blackbird special was going on, and the ramen was half-price through the app. We ran into some issues with the app, but luckily a representative was there to help. Even though we couldn't get the app working correctly, Ivan Ramen still honored the deal. Great service!Ivan Orkin's dedication to creating a unique culinary experience distinctly shines through in the food. The ramen I enjoyed was absolutely the best I've ever had, even compared to my time in Japan. I savored the chicken ramen, enhanced by roasted tomato, and it was nothing short of spectacular.Accompanying the ramen, we had a delightful serving of the Ivan Karaage, which was beautifully crispy and flavorful—a true highlight of the meal. On our plates but not pictured were the scrumptious miso Caesar salad and a refreshing daikon salad, both of which complemented the meal perfectly.Everything about our dining experience was exceptional, and I can't recommend Ivan Ramen enough for anyone looking to enjoy an authentic yet innovative take on ramen!Update: had to go back again, added some more photos.
March 04 · Casey MasonI can only eat chicken broth-based ramen and their tori paitan is one of the best I could find in the city!! They also topped it with some crunchy chicken skin. We also had sesame noodle with roasted tomato add-on, it was lil spicy, but so good! Also, this place was on Netflix’s Chef’s Table Season 3, years ago. The place is still popular, we came on Friday night and it was packed. Might be better to reserve.
April 19 · Amelia Anggraini BAfter watching Chef Ivan Orkin’s Chef’s Table episode in 2017, I knew I had to try Ivan Ramen—and it did not disappoint. The restaurant is a trendy, welcoming, and casual spot with incredible service. Our waiter was knowledgeable and guided us through one of the most delicious meals I've ever had. Since eating here, I haven't had ramen that even comes close to his. This is a must stop spot in NYC!
