★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1A must-visit for sushi lovers. We waited nearly 30 minutes to be seated at Izakaya Mew, but every bite made it worth the wait. The entrance is unassuming—you head down a set of stairs with no flashy signs—but inside is a buzzing, tightly packed space filled with energy. The atmosphere is minimal yet vibrant, clearly loved by locals and visitors alike. We tried the Mew Special, Volcano Roll, Dynamite Roll, and Black Dragon Roll—each one thoughtfully prepared, balanced, and full of flavor. Nigiri pieces were also excellent, with perfectly seasoned rice and fresh cuts of fish.Service isn’t super fast, but dishes come out with care and attention. It’s clear the kitchen prioritizes quality over speed, which we appreciated. We had a great family dinner and will definitely come back—with a reservation next time.
July 06 · Taylan AkcaThe food here really impressed us, some of the best Japanese dishes we’ve had in a while. Everything was fresh, well-balanced, and full of flavour. It was definitely on the loud side inside, but once the food arrived, we didn’t mind at all. A great spot if you care more about taste than quiet.
August 07 · Ana CardosoWe went for lunch. We got seated quickly on a weekday. I used to make reservations online but found that we were still accommodated when we just went there. Service was efficient.About the menu, noticed accompanying sides changed over time but the food/sets are delicious and very satisfying at great prices. I tried the Tokachi butadon and didn't expect the pork belly to be so soft that I actually said it was melt-in-my-mouth-tender.
August 04 · K VCMEW is near my office, so I have been going for lunch and dinner for more than 10 years since 2013 when MEW opened. I'm grateful for providing delicious food at the same place for a long time. All dishes are very tasty! Una don is my favorite in Summer!
August 19 · YJ JeongLove Izakaya MEW.The tapas style dishes are perfectly portioned to order plenty and share. Must try is the kimchi creamy udon, it’s so good!Service was good, they’re constantly busy especially during rush hour, so it’s quick and easy.Atmosphere can be a bit overwhelming. It’s a smaller space so it’s very loud and limited space.
