But that's part of the authentic NYC experience. The air is filled with the tantalizing aroma of baking dough and melting cheese, a scent that promises a delicious meal. It’s a place where the pizza is the star, and the simple, efficient service ensures you get your fix without a long, drawn-out wait. When you step into Joe’s Pizza, the first thing you need to decide is what to order. While everything on the menu is delicious, some choices are particularly noteworthy. The classic Plain Cheese Pie is a must-try for any first-timer. It perfectly showcases the balance of thin, crispy crust, tangy sauce, and gooey cheese that has made Joe's a legend. As one customer noted, the crust is "super crunchy and toasty," and the overall flavor is fantastic. If you're looking for something with a bit more of a kick, the Pepperoni Pie is a popular choice and often comes out of the oven hot and fresh due to its high demand.
For those with a taste for something different, the Fresh Mozzarella Pie is a fantastic option, offering a lighter, more delicate flavor profile. The Sicilian Square Pie is also a great choice if you prefer a thicker crust—it has a crunchy bottom with a soft, pillowy interior. It's also worth noting that the Marinara (Cheese-less) Pie is a delicious vegan-friendly option.
The Joe’s House Salad is a good choice for a lighter accompaniment to your pizza, and the variety of imported and domestic beverages provides the perfect pairing for your slice. While some experiences may vary, as noted in a few customer reviews, the overall consensus is that Joe's delivers a quintessential, flavorful, and satisfying pizza experience that is worth the usual wait. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This location is near Union Square. Small place, got crowded at times with customers lining up to order then waiting (not too long of a wait though). Got lucky getting one of the tall tables, which can seat 4 people; some counter seating by the walls and windows. Be ready to share the space.Saw white pizza pie fresh out of the oven so I asked for a slice but was given one from another pan. First few bites were good- crust was crispy and thin, but it cooled right away. By the time I got to the last 1/3, it was dry and crust was chewy. Saw how excited some customers were about the place and I wish I liked it more. Pepperoni was more popular so my son got a fresher slice.
June 25 · K VCLoved this place !! The service was quick and the staff were nice . The space was clean and very cozy and relaxed atmosphere. The pizza was so good super crunchy and toasty, full of flavor. Definitely will come back !
July 21 · Jeimy SantiagoJoe’s pizza is legendary in the City. They’ve been around for years and are known for their thin crust slices. I stopped in at the small 14th St shop the other day for a quick slice. I got a pepperoni slice, which was great. The cheese and sauce balance was perfect, and the pepperoni topping added some great flavor and texture. It’s expensive for a slice, but you can’t argue with the great taste.I like the 14th St. staff. They are always very friendly and welcoming. Very cool staff. Overall, strong recommendation if you love thin crust pizza. Can’t go wrong!
July 14 · Michael PantonIt'll get the job done typa slice. Definitely overhyped with all of the noise from celebrities. Nice and crispy bottom but the dough is a little under seasoned. I have tried their supreme, cheese, and pepperoni. Good location to have to late night pizza if you're out in the east village.
