★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1So we ordered 2 jerk chickens and a vegetable roti tonight. My daughter and husband said their jerk chicken was good, even though it was an extremely small portion. I had the vegetable roti. The vegetables were tender and well seasoned, though slightly over salted. The roti was straight trash. Why in the world do these spots insist on having roti on their menus? The roti was so bad, not only was it poorly made, it was old! Half of it was hard as a rock, which screams old roti that they probably buy from some other place, freeze and then reheat it in the microwave all week. If you can't hire a roti maker or make it fresh EVERY DAY, dont sell it! I ate all of the vegetables and threw out most of the roti, but I forgot to take a picture of it.
July 03 · Rachel GardnerThis is some pretty good Jamaican food located in the middle of Manhattan. I highly recommend their patties, and the jerk chicken burrito and the chicken roti burrito were both phenomenal. The staff is always awesome and friendly. Love these guys so much. The pricing is pretty good for what you get.For adult beverages they have fantastic alcoholic cold drinks like a coconut and rum punch. And it definitely has a punch.I'm the customer with Black Lives Matter mask, so you all know who I am.My wife loves them too.
October 06 · Matthew MartinThis is a solid spot I love the Caribbean vibe they got going on. There’s a lot of different cultures in this food hall and this is a great addition. I love the Jerk Chicken Burrito. That’s my go to dish. My mom had me try it and it’s the bomb. I love the presentation of it. With all the sauces on top. Inside it’s loaded with rice & peas, cabbage, and jerk chicken. Service is on point. I just wish they added a little more jerk chicken in there.
December 10 · Jeffrey GomezNow what I love about Jumieka is the convenience..it's midtown Manhattan, its in the lower food court area where there are a lot of other establishments but they stand out being a Caribbean cuisine...I like their rum punch and the coconut punch..you can even request a mix of the two that is so delectable .it will knock you out. The blue drink is meh...the wings are delectable..and with that blue cheese sauce it adds to the flavor 100%..the curry goat roti is not bad at all...and the oxtail and jerk chicken stand up next to any in close range. The beef pattie and chicken pattie are delicious..taste fresh and full. Things I LOVE about this place, (because I go frequently), are the availability of food and the vibeS...it's lowkey and even when it's packed you can still squeeze in or take it to go and sit somewhere else.
July 20 · Ashley StapletonThe restaurant is located within a plaza off of the 53rd/Lexington Ave. metro station. The food was good, but overpriced for the portion size. I had the oxtail stew with white rice and it was fresh and flavorful with the oxtails falling of the bone. However, I was expecting the stew to be a tad bit spicy. They also serve Jamaican rum punch as well as other frozen drinks. Service was excellent.
