The star of the show at K-Kimbap is, without a doubt, the kimbap. These beautiful rice rolls are generously filled and meticulously crafted, offering a substantial and satisfying meal. The menu features a variety of options to suit every palate, including classic favorites like Bulgogi, Tuna (available mild or spicy), and Vegetable kimbap. For those with a more adventurous side, options like Eel and Bacon, Egg, and Cheese kimbap are also available. The mini versions, known as Mayak Kimbap, are perfect for a quick snack or for mixing and matching different flavors. The fresh, high-quality ingredients and the absence of MSG are a point of pride for the owner, who ensures that every roll is a masterpiece of balanced flavors and textures. Many customers rave about the quality, noting that it is some of the best kimbap they have ever had, even those born and raised in Korea.
Beyond the full-sized kimbap rolls, K-Kimbap also offers a selection of other Korean treats. The Samgak (Triangle) Kimbap is a great choice for a light bite, with fillings like Tuna, Crab, and Vegan options. To complement the meal, you can indulge in some Crispy Sweet Potato Sticks or a traditional drink like Sikhye, a sweet rice drink that is both refreshing and authentic. The menu is simple yet comprehensive, focusing on a few core items and doing them exceptionally well. This focus on quality over quantity is a key reason for the restaurant’s success and its loyal following of customers who appreciate the genuine taste and careful preparation. The owner’s warmth and hospitality, often conversing with customers in multiple languages and even offering samples, add a personal touch that makes the dining experience truly special and memorable. It’s a place that not only fills your stomach but also warms your heart.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I got the special with the rice cake & sausage in a skewer (soy sauce), bulgogi kimbap & sweet rice drink -sikhye. Everything was made to order & I practiced my Korean with the owner. It was 10am on a weekday morning. She was so lovely! She used her mom’s recipes for the bulgogi & sikhye plus she doesn’t use msg & prefers to use quality ingredients & makes everything with care & love. My second time trying homemade sikhye in my life- so yummy! I felt like she was my Korean Mom/Auntie.She kindly checked in with me plus gave me a sample of cucumber kimchee (not usually sold) & it’s one of my faves for the summer to eat. After my meal, she kindly gave me gum and some Korean hard candies to try saying they go way back. Her warmth, enthusiasm, & kindness to me to serve quality & delicious homemade food really touched my heart with her Jeong /정! 정말 감사해요.Then she conversed in great Cantonese with me, (I was chatting with the ladies at the table about life/the hot weather!)A gem & next time if you find yourself in Chinatown, Check out the kimbap here!
June 26 · A ISuch a great no-frills restaurant located in a food court in Chinatown! It’s run by the nicest family who’s been here for two decades, selling kimbap made with a family recipe that has been passed down through generations. You could tell that the food is made with love and careful consideration of the quality of the ingredients, and I couldn’t help but return multiple times during my time in the city. The tuna kimbap is a must try, as well as the little egg kimbaps. They are super filling, one is enough for two people if you’re interested in food hopping around Chinatown. As someone else said in the comments, this is the best kimbap I have had in NYC, and this is coming from a person born and raised in Korea. Go pay a visit if you’re nearby!
August 23 · Katie HDelicious kimbap. The kimbap style is extra large roll that’s popular in Korea. The eel kimbap is incredible, flavor and texture is perfect. The mayak kimbap is exactly like the name (mayak = addicting) and tastes like in Korea (had the imitation crab). Homemade sikhye is tasty. Overall very clean and tastes like home, truly authentic.
April 19 · Peter YuJust stopped by for brunch. The kimbap was awesome. We ordered Bulgogi, Tuna, Crab and eggroll kimbap with 2 different Sikhyes (original and sweet pumpkin). My family loves every food that the owner gave us! The owner gave me crispy sweet potato sticks for free. We love these sticks as well. You won’t regret to visit. The owner is also a Korean lady who knows how to cook authentic Kimbap. This is a surprise because this food court is in the middle of China town.
June 17 · Sang Ho “Sam” KimA friend and I had their sikhye. It was refreshing and definitely homemade as you cannot find this anywhere else in NYC. We also tried their spicy tteok-kochi. The rice cake was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. When eaten together with the sausage, sauce and sesame seeds, the flavor and texture were just a great combo. Their kimbap is a must! It is reasonably priced, the ingredients were so fresh, and definitely no msg. Everything we had just tasted very authentic and is a must try if you're in the area!
