★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1So many friends recommended this place, especially for the grilled corn and the pork cutlet. I finally managed to get a reservation today, and both dishes completely exceeded my expectations! The grilled corn with cheese was incredibly addictive — the flavor and texture were just perfect. The pork cutlet had a light, crisp coating that was wonderfully delicate and not greasy at all. We also tried the eggplant, noodles, and mushroom dishes, and every single one was delicious. Truly unforgettable — I left wanting more!
August 17 · Yi-En LeeThis restaurant is highly recommended if you’re into unique Japanese dishes! All the dishes we had were amazing - starting with the fish with oranges which was absolutely stunning and refreshing, such a great way to kick off the meal. The main dishes like the aubergine and sushi rolls were fantastic too. But honestly, the corn dish was absolutely delicious! It’s such a smart way to present the dish - they made it look so artistic and creative. And get this - they even turned it into ice cream that looked like a corn roll! You can still taste the corn but it’s ice cream.Highly recommend this place and definitely suggest making a reservation ahead of time
July 06 · Han LOverall, the food was satisfying. However, the sushi rice was too sticky, making it hard to eat all of it in one gulp. The Toro Uni Shari was the best dish. However, it was too noisy, and the price of the food that came out was too high. The service wasn’t outstanding because our family waited more than an hour for some dishes. The food order wasn’t good either. The sushi and the Toro Uni Shari came out 40 minutes before the main dish came out. Also, our family thought rice would come with the katsu, but there wasn't. I think that was an error. It was hard to talk with my family because it was chaos. The air conditioner was like BROKEN. It was too hot there, so we thought we should get out before the main dish came out. I would say this is a pretty good restaurant, but it needs quite a few changes. It would be nice to come back a few times but wouldn’t mind.
June 25 · Chloe KimThe service and atmosphere of the space was top notch, but the food was fairly average for me.I loved the Corn Ribs, but else was fairly standard. The other dishes were all good but nothing blew me away. The prices are slightly above average, but can add up if you order a lot.
June 09 · A ShenKonban’s signature dish is the katsu, and we tried two kinds: the Pork Loin Katsu and the Menchi Katsu. I highly recommend the Pork Loin — juicy on the inside, crispy on the outside, and absolutely delicious. We also had the Sabazushi (mackerel sushi), which was really good! For dessert, we tried the unique Konban Corn Ice Cream. It’s shaped like a corn cob, made with ice cream and white chocolate, and surprisingly, it actually tastes like corn — with real corn kernels inside. I can’t quite say if it’s “good” or “strange,” but it’s definitely an interesting flavor and worth trying since it’s one of their specialties. As for drinks, the Highball is a must-order. On our visit, they had a special Yuzu Highball, which was excellent. Konban’s drink selection is even broader than their food menu — truly izakaya-style — so you’ll definitely find something you love to pair with your meal!
