The most worthwhile choice at Kyuubi Sushi Omakase is undoubtedly the omakase set. This is the core of the dining experience and what the restaurant is designed for. For a full journey through the chef's expertise, the Omakase B ($79.00) provides a comprehensive and exquisite tasting experience that is an exceptional value for the quality of the fish and the number of courses. It's the perfect way to explore the chef's culinary vision and enjoy a variety of flavors.
For those looking for a slightly more focused experience, the Omakase A ($45.00) offers a more concise yet equally satisfying taste of their offerings. The individual nigiri options, such as the Otoro Caviar ($15.00) and the Chu Toro ($11.00), are perfect for supplementing your meal or trying specific high-end cuts. The special of the day, which might include rare finds like A5 Wagyu ($18.00), is also highly recommended for a truly memorable culinary moment. Additionally, for non-omakase options, the Unagi Don ($35.00) and Salmon Don ($30.00) provide a delicious and generous bowl of perfectly prepared fish over rice. Ultimately, the best choice here is to embrace the omakase experience, trusting the chef to provide a meal of the highest quality and flavor.
In conclusion, Kyuubi Sushi Omakase is a remarkable addition to the East Village dining scene. Its combination of high-quality food, expert service, and a quiet, welcoming atmosphere makes it a must-visit for anyone looking for an authentic and valuable sushi experience in New York City.

I’m usually not the biggest raw fish person but the fish was top notch quality and so incredibly good.Every dish was perfectly curated and the flavors married into the fish so incredibly well. The staff was so polite and the atmosphere was also very welcoming and calm.Needless to say I’ll be back :) thank you for this great experience!(Didn’t get a chance to snap photos of each dish but got the dessert at the end which was mochi :))
August 15 · Nina GThis place is our go to spot in the area for omakase and we’ve been to MANY many places. It’s just a relaxed, good quality, go to spot in the EV area. The sushi chef is chill and kind. The music is always nice and a great addition and the fish is AMAZING. Pretty low key spot too. Very underrated, a must try. we keep coming back so they’re doing something right. We tell everyone about it.
April 21 · Victoria ChenThis omakase spot is truly something special. I had dinner here last night, and every piece was incredibly fresh—each one crafted with care and intention. What really made the experience stand out, though, was the atmosphere. I got to share a drink with the chef and the waiter, and it honestly felt more like a cozy dinner with friends. The vibe is super chill and welcoming, with no stiffness or pretension—just good people and amazing food. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy quality sushi in a relaxed, heartfelt setting
April 10 · Karin FujisakiStumbled on Kyuubi while wandering through what’s basically turned into spring break St. Marks. Kinda sad—none of that old grit I remember. But Kyuubi totally turned things around. The omakase was incredible. Definitely coming back.
