June 11 · Bjorn BeijensComfortable Belgian bar with friendly staff, an excellent beer selection and full menu. The steak frites were delicious.
May 13 · Daniel ModellBXL Zoute is a bit of a mixed bag for me. On one hand, the Belgian beer selection is amazing—seriously, if you’re into Belgian brews, this place is a goldmine. They’ve got a huge variety, and you can tell they’ve put thought into curating a legit lineup. Same goes for the food—it’s very authentic, with a menu that really captures that European vibe. I mean, how often do you find bitterballen in NYC? The dishes are unique, well-made, and genuinely transport you to a cozy European bistro. But then there’s the price. It’s expensive. Like, I get that it’s authentic and in a prime location, but still—both the food and drinks feel overpriced, even for Manhattan. The real kicker, though, is the service. It’s not outright rude, just… indifferent. You can tell they’re going for that laid-back European vibe, but it crosses the line into neglect. Waiting for refills or the check felt like forever, and it wasn’t even that busy.Overall, BXL Zoute has its charm, especially if you’re craving authentic Belgian eats and a great beer, but the high prices and meh service keep it from being a standout for me. Solid 3 stars—worth a try if you’re in the mood, but maybe not a place I’d rush back to.
January 05 · Stephen StilwellVery nice place!!A big choice of beer :)We offered pasta and salat and it was greate!! Very tasty..
June 08 · Dima ShumacherVery solid little Belgian spot with nice atmosphere. Service was outstanding and attentive. The mussels were excellent! They offer an all you can eat special on Sundays and Mondays so definitely want to get back to try that sometime. The green salad was also excellent - very fresh and well seasoned. The Belgian stew was decent though not my fave. But the dessert - a mousse with cookie crumble and ice cream was amazing. They also have a great selection of Belgian beers on tap. I’ll be back!
