When you choose to dine at
Le Pain Quotidien
, you are opting for an experience that combines quality, comfort, and convenience. As one satisfied customer noted, it is a "nice breakfast place with fresh bread and pastries," offering an "upscale" vibe that justifies its price point. The menu is filled with delicious and fresh options, with many popular dishes that have become fan favorites. For example, theAvocado Toast
is a popular and well-regarded choice, and as one reviewer mentioned, adding smoked salmon makes it "super tasty!" The combination of fresh ingredients, like the "zesty lemon dressing," elevates simple dishes into memorable meals. The coffee, too, receives high praise for being "delicious," a crucial factor for many New Yorkers. The restaurant also shines in its efficient and fast service, which is essential for busy professionals and tourists. However, while many items are worth choosing, it's always wise to be informed. As one review highlighted, not every item may live up to the hype or the price tag. The
French Cream Doughnut
, for instance, was found to be a "huge letdown" and "overpriced," despite its beautiful appearance. This underscores the importance of choosing wisely from the extensive menu. The most celebrated offerings seem to be the classic breakfast dishes and fresh items like theSunny Side Breakfast Bowl
andBlack Lentil Bowl
. TheTartines
are a must-try, with their fresh bread and flavorful toppings. Additionally, the availability ofsmall plates
and akids' menu
makes it a versatile choice for any group. The overall atmosphere, which is casual, cozy, and trendy, along with amenities likeWi-Fi
and abar on site
, enhances the dining experience. Whether you're a local looking for a new breakfast spot or a tourist seeking a taste of European elegance, Le Pain Quotidien offers a reliable and enjoyable dining experience, particularly if you stick to their highly-praised core offerings.Le Pain Quotidien Menu

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1It is a nice breakfast place with fresh bread and pastries. It’s a bit pricier than other spots around here, but the vibe is definitely upscale. I went for the avocado toast with smoked salmon added on, and it was super tasty! It came with some veggies and a zesty lemon dressing that went really well with it. Plus, the coffee was delicious too!
August 03 · May LynnTried the French Cream Doughnut because it looked beautiful and was highly recommended online. Unfortunately, it was a huge letdown. The cream lacked flavor and the bread was dense and unremarkable. At over $7, it felt overpriced for something I don’t even want to finish. Nice for photos, but not for eating. Staff also just mind their own business.
August 03 · Piggly WigglyThe first time we went here I would have given this a 5/5. Service was amazing! Our waiter was fantastic and our food was great. So good we decided to come back.Second time our waiter was disgruntled and came by only when flagged down. Most of the time we couldn’t find him and had to flag down servers from behind the bar to get more water. I never got a refill of my coffee. All our food and coffee came out cold. We ordered a large mocha and got a small. My wife ordered a pastry that never came… It was a true 180 from the first experience.1/1 can’t recommend you go here based off of the second experience. Really disappointed with the experience, service, and food the second go around. Everything about the second experience was painful.
June 10 · Gideon BernthalVery tasty food! And at the same time the prices are huge! 16$ for bread with avocado without salmon without eggs is too much! Even with that exterior and atmosphere.Common guys. Make prices more reasonable. And they put little strawberry sauce in my matcha. If you make quality - make quality. And the even don’t allow to sit in the dining zone! I payed 17$ for small corner. Nice.
July 22 · Wise FlowerWe had a great breakfast here. Nice atmosphere and the four different egg menus we had were well prepared and tasty.
