What makes Little Island Kiosks a noteworthy stop in a city filled with food options?
- Local Partnerships: A significant highlight is the collaboration with local New York makers. This commitment to the community is a major selling point.

- Beverage Variety: Beyond standard soda and water, the kiosks offer a wide range of beverages, including a selection of local beers, wines, and unique cocktails like the "Charred Peach Bellini" and "Rosé Sangria." This adds a layer of sophistication to the fast-food experience.
- Vegetarian Options: The menu includes several vegetarian-friendly items, such as the "Avocado Toast," "Seasonal Fruit Pot," and "Greek Yogurt Pot," making it an inclusive choice for various diets.
- Family-friendly and Inclusive Atmosphere: The park and its kiosks are promoted as being family-friendly, LGBTQ+ friendly, and a transgender safespace. This inclusive environment makes everyone feel welcome.
- Quick Bites: The menu is built around quick and easy items like "The Chicken Little" sandwich, bagels, and fresh-baked cookies, which are perfect for on-the-go consumption.
- Scenic Views: The main highlight is arguably the location itself. Enjoying a coffee or a meal with a panoramic view of the Hudson River and the city skyline is an experience that no other fast-food spot can offer.

Little Island Kiosks offer a compelling case for a different kind of fast-food experience. While one customer review from the past mentioned an "extremely overpriced" and "horrible" chicken sandwich, this perspective needs to be balanced against the overall context. Another customer review noted the pleasant experience, stating, "Good beer and a solid hot dog. Overpriced, but understandable given the location. Really pleasant, especially at sunset." This latter review gets to the heart of what the kiosks offer: a trade-off where the price is justified by the location, the quality of ingredients, and the overall experience.
For a visitor to Little Island, what is worth choosing is the convenience and the curated selection. The "Drip Coffee" from Devoción is a great choice for a high-quality coffee experience, especially for those looking to start their day. The "Bagel" and "Croissant" are classic breakfast options that are easy to eat on the move. For a satisfying lunch, the "Avocado Toast" offers a fresh, vegetarian option. The drink menu is particularly impressive for a fast-food setting, with options that are perfect for a celebratory toast with a view.
It’s important to understand the value proposition. You are not just paying for food; you are paying for the experience of dining in a world-class public park, with fresh air, incredible views, and a menu sourced from local businesses. The food items are quick bites by design, meant to be part of a larger excursion to the park, rather than a destination meal in themselves. The kiosks serve as a functional and enjoyable amenity that enhances a visit to Little Island.
The best approach is to manage expectations. Don't go to the Little Island Kiosks expecting a gourmet sit-down meal, but do go expecting a quick, flavorful, and high-quality snack or beverage that you can enjoy in one of New York City's most beautiful new public spaces. The "sweet potato tots" and "hot dog" have received positive notes, and the beverage selection, particularly the local beers and cocktails, is a definite highlight. It’s an ideal place for a pleasant break, a quick refuel, or a perfect sunset toast.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Good beer and a solid hot dog. Overpriced, but understandable given the location. Really pleasant, especially at sunset. If you’re in the area, definitely worth stopping by for a drink.
June 17 · Juan Castellanos ÁlvarezExtremely overpriced, and the food is not even good. I ordered the chicken sandwich ($7) and it’s no doubt the worst chicken sandwich I’ve ever eaten. The chicken was hard as rock, I had to add mayo and hot sauce on my own to deal with how dry it was. The sweet potato tots were tasty, but still very overpriced ($7 each tray) for the amount you get. Bring food from outside if you’re going to come.
June 12 · Dechen PemaI am from the Midwest and to see and appreciate the engineering that took to make this place is cool. I also like the New York dog. I grew up in Chicago and to have a green space like this and some food trucks to boot. I was not expecting 5 star quality food but it was good for what I was expecting.
July 02 · Mark FosterThere were enough vegetarian options (I had the impossible pambazo, the mac and cheese bites, and the fried cauliflower). The food was okay (but nothing special), but it was really cool to have dinner on the island as part of our outing.
June 27 · Anand OzaThree food and drink trucks with friendly staff. However, no ice cream, no sundaes, no popsicles and no PEPSI products. Otherwise pretty much everything else. Open late with Empire State Building in the background. 👍🏻
