Luke's Lobster is undoubtedly a fantastic choice for anyone in New York looking for an exceptional seafood meal. The primary reason for choosing this restaurant is the quality of its lobster rolls. Unlike some competitors, Luke's keeps it simple, focusing on the fresh, wild-caught lobster meat with just a touch of mayo, lemon butter, and their secret seasoning, all served on a perfectly toasted, buttered bun. This authentic approach is what makes their lobster rolls stand out. The menu also offers variety with crab and shrimp rolls, as well as a popular Seafood Roll Flight for those who want to sample a bit of everything.
The soups are another compelling reason to visit. The New England Clam Chowder is known for being creamy and flavorful, and the Lobster Bisque is a rich and satisfying choice. These side items are a perfect complement to the main rolls. The fast and efficient service makes it an ideal spot for a quick lunch or dinner when you don't have a lot of time to spare, but you still want a high-quality meal. The casual, welcoming atmosphere is perfect for solo diners or a relaxed outing with friends and family. In a city where good seafood can often come with a high price tag and a formal setting, Luke's Lobster provides an accessible, delicious, and casual alternative. It’s a true taste of Maine that has found a happy and well-deserved home on the Upper West Side.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Luke's lobster is known for the lobster dishes, as the lobster rolls but I went there looking for a clam chowder (New England style) and wasn't disappointed. Creamy and tasty. I missed a touch of bacon, but I guess this is not on the traditional recipe. And next time I should definitely go for the lobster roll. It's a small and cozy place. You can dine in or take away.
March 31 · ThaisHonestly was pleasantly surprised. Stopped by after a long walk in Central Park. Ordered the medium size lobster roll. Got a pretty good size and quality roll. Great taste, came also with good vinegar chip and a blueberry drink! Going back. Kinda pricey as I paid +$40 but it is good!
December 31 · Rafik AwadMy go-to anytime I'm in town. The white truffle is absolutely amazing, and so is the spicy honey! We got 6oz rolls, but you can also choose a 4oz. The clam chowder is delicious with plenty of clam!
December 19 · Mariana CrowWas in the Harlem area and had a craving for a lobster roll. I've heard lots about Luke's Lobster, decided to make a quick stop. The cashier was friendly and took time to explain the menu. Decided on the original lobster roll made it a meal with chips and rose wine to drink. The 4oz lobster roll was ($23) plus the rose ($8). Overall it was okay. Not my favorite. I have a preference for the rolls chilled with mayo that I've had in front of Brooklyn Museum one summer from Cousins Maine Lobster truck which was spectacular. This one just wasn't quite that. The lobster meat however was plentiful and juicy. However, there was a mistake on my roll because it wasn't buttered. So the bread was just toasted and dry which was off-putting. I noticed the comments about the price and definitely wanted to chime in on that. Because yes, the price for such a small roll is pretty high. (I know, I know, it looks huge in the photo..it wasn't). But if you're feeling fancy and want a snack to share, it could be for you. Just don't buy the wine, just acid in a can. It was very acidic, watery and slightly tart. Not enjoyable. I trashed it.The area was small and neat. The staff were friendly. The woman who prepared the food was also very friendly. So overall, I'd rate here 4.3 stars. Mostly based on preference and total satisfaction for the price.
July 18 · Starlica ReinéI went there yesterday for lunch and asked for a recommendation. The classic lobster roll tastes super fresh and delicious and was filled with plenty of lobster (even though I ordered a small one). I also enjoyed the clam chowder, which I’ve never tried before (I’m from Europe, only used to bouillabaisse). Great place!
