The menu at Lusardi's is a true representation of Northern Italian cuisine, and choosing what to order is a delight. The "Antipasti" section offers excellent choices, such as the "Carciofi Alla Romana," a classic baked artichoke, or the "Caprese Di Bufala," which uses fresh buffalo mozzarella. The "Guazzetto Alla Lagunare" is a Venetian-style dish with sautéed shellfish in a savory sauce, perfect for seafood lovers. The restaurant also has a variety of salads that are fresh and well-composed.
For the main course, the pasta dishes are a must-try. The "Tagliolini Cacio Pepe" is a classic Roman dish with a special Lusardi's twist, and the "Rigatoni Cipullo" with ground sweet sausage and prosciutto is a hearty and delicious choice. The "Raviolacci," which is a homemade ravioli with a veal filling, is another excellent option that showcases the quality of the kitchen.
When it comes to the meat and fish dishes, the daily specials are always worth asking about, as they often feature fresh, seasonal ingredients. The "Branzino" is a consistent favorite among regulars, often served in a white wine sauce that perfectly complements the delicate fish. The "Vitello Martini," a veal dish with a parmigiano crust and a white wine-lemon sauce, is a fantastic choice that exemplifies classic Italian preparation. The "Pollo Scarpariello" is also a great comfort food option.
And you absolutely cannot leave without trying a dessert. The "Pistachio Tart" is a particularly celebrated item, described by one reviewer as "chef kiss." The "poached pear dessert" and "tiramisu" are also fan favorites. The desserts at Lusardi's are known for their quality and a wonderful way to end your meal. The extensive wine list is also a key part of the experience, with the staff's recommendations ensuring you find the perfect pairing for your meal.
Overall, Lusardi's is highly recommended for its warm ambiance, exceptional food, and impeccable service. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Our friend suggested we join him at Lusardi's for dinner - what a great suggestion. This brother-run restaurant has been in business for 44 years, and they know what they're doing. Seemed like mostly regulars. Great service, food, and ambiance. Nice wine list. Lots of specials to supplement the menu. Everything our group ordered was great including appetizers and desserts. Fair prices. Highly recommended if you're in the Upper East End.
June 05 · brian birdI believe the front house person and the majority of the staff are Italian, so good starting point. We had the shrimp and butter beans appetizer, seafood pasta, special of the day which was branzino in white wine sauce. All was well-seasoned and just tasted great. The pistachio tart for dessert was chef kiss. The staff was attentive without being annoying. Cozy atmosphere. Dimly lit.I would definitely come back here.
November 15 · Alex Hoa NguyenLusardi’s is a true gem on the Upper East Side — the food is exceptional, from perfectly cooked pastas to fresh, flavorful seafood. The warm, welcoming atmosphere makes it feel like a neighborhood staple, and the management is incredibly friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Whether you’re stopping in for a special occasion or a relaxed dinner, you’ll leave feeling well-fed and genuinely cared for.
July 20 · PaulReally good food. Got the arugula pear salad was incredible and so was the spinach and mushroom ravioli and Mediterranean Sea bass. The smooth jazz Muzak or whatever lobby music they play really doesn’t fit the vibe
May 24 · Nicole DaghighianWell established classic atmosphere with old-school character. Food was good. I had the veal meatballs for appetizer and rabbit stew dish for main. Great group of people. Active owner with Italian roots.
