★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We had made reservations here for my best friends surprise dinner and they did not disappoint! The staff were wonderful and super helpful with everything. I got the bolognese and it was pretty good! We also gave the flan a try, although I wasn’t a big fan with the orange pieces on top, I loved everything else about it! The atmosphere was super elegant, dim lit, and classy. Our waiter was super nice and helpful with any questions we had! Definitely would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a good date spot! :)
August 26 · Kayla huynhMarmo is definitely one of those spots that feels upscale without trying too hard. It’s located in an extremely nice shopping center, and the aesthetics inside match the vibe—clean, modern, and elegant. They’ve got a daily happy hour from 3 to 6PM, which is a great deal if you can catch it. Valet is free, just make sure to validate your valet ticket inside the restaurant. One thing to note: happy hour is first come, first serve and only available in the bar area or on the patio—not the main dining room. You cannot make reservations for happy hour. That setup was a little unexpected, so definitely get there early if you’re aiming for those deals. The happy hour menu is solid—pastas start at $5, with meat options around $7, and glasses of wine are $6. Honestly, it’s a steal for the quality and location.Servers were super friendly and attentive, which really made the experience feel elevated. The hostess was just okay—not rude, but not especially welcoming either.Perfect place for a cute catch-up, date night on a budget, or just a solo unwind moment with a glass of wine.
June 24 · Evelyn LewisMarmo has quickly become one of my favorite happy hour spots in Houston. I’ve dined here once for dinner with friends and have returned a few times just for happy hour—and for good reason. From the cozy yet refined ambiance to the welcoming outdoor seating, this place carries a chic, elevated energy without feeling pretentious. The live pianist in the evenings adds a special charm and sets the mood just right—it’s one of those details that makes the space feel alive and intentionally curated.During happy hour, the wine and cocktail selection is thoughtfully priced and pairs well with small bites like the crispy chicken served with a creamy, spicy dipping sauce. The wine pours are generous, and the sparkling options are always refreshing and crisp, perfect for a sunny patio afternoon. I plan to update this review with more food photos next time I go back, because there’s more to highlight from Marmo’s kitchen than I’ve captured so far. That said, the service has been a miss by far—and my most recent visit was no exception. I waited 15 minutes (no exaggeration) for a to-go box and had to call a manager to finally get one. I also waited 10 minutes for a straw. The restaurant wasn’t that busy, and even if it were, that’s where teamwork should come into play. A server who’s tied up should be able to ask someone less busy to step in—or at the very least, communicate that there might be a delay. In this case, I truly believe my server just forgot. The atmosphere and happy hour are worth it, but I’ve yet to have a truly great service experience here. I always leave feeling content and relaxed because of the space itself, but I can’t ignore that the service consistently falls short of the standard the rest of Marmo sets. I’ll keep coming back for the ambiance and drinks—but I hope one day the service will match them.
August 14 · Kynji-KyzoVisited on a Saturday evening with reservations. Quickly seated. I liked that the managers visited our table and others throughout the evening to check on our experience. Great service and great food. The Atlas group has several restaurants in Baltimore and I’ve visited Tagliatelle in Baltimore and the food experience was amazing. Marmo had a similar menu and the cuisine was great! We sat on the front patio and was able to hear the live music inside which was very nice. We ordered smaller pasta dishes which were the perfect size and were full of flavor (the lobster pasta is spicy!).$$There is valet and paid street parking.
July 03 · Christina B.10/10 food and service :) would definitely come back! We got the charred octopus, Tuscan fried chicken, rigatoni alla vodka, gnocchi, squid ink Campanelle, chocolate cake, and the olive oil cake. My only recommendation would be to ask for multiple pieces of bread when they first come around with the bread basket!!!
