★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I had a great experience at Mitr Thai with my companions. I came with 5 friends and received very quick and good service. The server even offered to take a picture of our group which was very nice. I got the mango sticky rice which I found to be very delicious. A bit pricey for the portion size though. $15 for a relatively small portion. Great atmosphere. My companions also enjoyed their meals.
June 06 · Juju CSecond visit and just as excellent as the first. After 15 years of regular travel in Thailand, I know Thai food — while the menu is a bit Americanized, the core flavors are authentic and well done. I also love that the menu is organized by region, so you can explore different regional styles easily. Tip: get there early — I arrived just after 6pm and snagged a bar seat, but within 15 minutes the wait jumped to an hour.
August 25 · Derek WatsonOK YES! 100% worth dining here especially for the area you are in, filled with lackluster options and tourist traps. This wonderful Thai restaurant will leave you happy, especially considering their amazing lunch specials. Their Thai Tea was great, and we had a variety of their dishes including pineapple fried rice with shrimp, a variant of Pad Kee Mao (called something else but I can’t recall) with beef, and crispy pork dish over rice. The curry puffs are also delicious. We made a reservation about an hour before dining at an off peak time of 2:00 PM on a Friday.
August 24 · Zachary WoodThis was a truly life-changing experience!! The best Thai food I’ve ever had. The menu is varied and ranges across various regions of Thailand and everything we ate was amazing. The location is nice and cozy and our waitress Mindi was very kind and recommended some wonderful dishes to us! I’m a tourist in NY and this is honestly one of the best things that’s happened to me during my vacation.
August 11 · Francesca ColagrossiThe food was excellent and very authentic. It is very hard to find a good Thai restaurant in the city and Mitr Thai doesThai food just right. It makes wonderful and delicious Thai food. Mitr Thai reminds me of all of the flavors I had growing up. Popeye, our server was super attentive and answered all of our questions. She also gave some amazing recommendations of which dishes to get. The cocktails were also super innovative and delicious. I will definitely be back to try out more dishes from the menu.
