★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I got here at 12:59 on a Sunday and was in line to order for 42 minutes and we got our food at 2:25. So about an hour and a half wait altogether. It was 88 degrees 🥵 and the staff was considerate to give us hand fans while we waited to place our order. A couple of people left the line while we were waiting which is understandable, not everyone is built for this. This is primarily a takeout spot but they do have a small outdoor seating shed in front where you can sit down and eat your food. I do feel it was worth the wait. I ordered the Make It A Mommy Combo and they have three different tender flavors you can choose from fried or grilled, a side, and a tropical drink for an extra $3. I got the fried Lemongrass, waffle fries, and mango coconut. Easily the best tenders I’ve had, they were well seasoned, juicy, and had a crispy (but not too bready) outer and the sauces were great and waffle fries were good and just the right texture. My boy got the Coconut rice & beans as his side and it was incredible. My favorite sauces were the Heavenly BBQ & Thai Hot Honey. Portion sizes I think are on the smaller side. The mango coconut drink was also delicious. There’s so many options to choose from and I’m looking forward to trying more next time. Mommy Pai’s is solid and worth the visit just come super early and be prepared to wait for at least 30-45 minutes.
August 10 · Ainsley BrundageNo line at 11am on a weekday. Loved lettuce wraps combo option with Muay Thai fried tenders and island sauce.
August 15 · Cam CLong line on a Saturday at 12pm, only one person taking orders. I ordered the Thai tea and condensed milk twist soft serve and it was fine.
August 17 · Selina IqbalIt was….fine. I mean, it does not hold a candle to a fresh order of Popeyes Chicken Tenders, and it’s really not very flavorful unless you sauce it. The momma cakes are gooey…i think they are suppose to sort of have a mochi like texture but seemed not thoroughly cooked. The best part was actually the little pickled quail egg on the side, the drinks and the soft serve
August 11 · DLGrilled chicken was great! We also had the green curry and slaw, both of which were really good. For people complaining about the wait, we got there at 1130am and ordered right away. By 1230pm, there was a decent line. It's a new Uncle Boon's spot in SoHo after all...sometimes you gotta wait.
