So I tried this place for the first time today and the food wasn’t bad. After eating 1/4 of my rice box I saw a long black hair in my food, I took it out and kept eating cause I was hungry. After a few more bites I see 2 more hairs 🫩 I felt disgusted and threw the box away and anything else that came with it. You guys have to do better because that’s just nasty smh

I ordered the 8 piece wings from this place. I am not satisfied with this order. The wings were very nasty. The color of the wings were a burnt orange , these wings were definitely Fried in old grease, I was able to taste the old grease, had a very weird funky smell, the wings were also over cooked hard to bite and they were burnt.

As pictured, I ordered eggplant in garlic sauce with steamed rice, and bbq ribs. The rice didn’t make it to my bag.. I called and met them know that I didn’t get the rice. He told me there was nothing he could do. This is not the first time they have been utterly rude when you enter the restaurant I will not order here again.

Don't be swayed by the bad reviews! They are wrong wrong wrong. I LOVE Montrose Chinese! Family run, local place, we have ordered consistent take out for over a decade now. They have a dish called Montrose Spicy Fried Rice and it rocks my world. Fresh jalapeño kicks up the heat. All their fried rice and noodle variations are great. Sesame chicken also excellent. Once we needed something to take to a potluck after a funeral. The owner was so kind and helped us get a large buffet size of the sesame chicken and it was so important to her to add the sesames on top as we were getting ready to go. She made it pretty. It was really kind. It was a huge hit at the potluck. This family is kind and I hope I can support their yummy restaurant for decades to come.

Just a basic take-out joint serving bland, gluggy American-style Chinese food. The cuisine is as creative and interesting as the restaurant’s name. I ordered family-style tofu, shrimp with vegetables and stir-fried green beans. Everything seemed fresh, but there was little effort to season the dishes. The rice was over cooked and stuck together in big clumps. The man at the counter was gruff and unwelcoming. My take-out order was ready in 15 minutes as promised. I would only go back to this place if I couldn’t be bothered looking for something better.
