When considering what is worth choosing at Mysttik Masaala, it's important to view the restaurant as a convenient and casual spot for accessible Indian food, rather than a destination for a formal or highly authentic culinary experience. The restaurant’s main appeal lies in its efficiency and straightforward menu. The signature bowls and naan wraps are the core of the menu, and they are designed to be quick, comforting, and filling. For those who are new to Indian cuisine or simply looking for a familiar and easy option, the Chicken Tikka Masala Bowl is a solid choice. The true gems, however, might be found in the street food appetizers. The Samosa Chaat is a flavorful and satisfying mini-meal in itself, and the Vada Pav is a unique find that brings a taste of Mumbai street food to New York. These items offer a more distinct and interesting experience than the main bowls, which, while convenient, may not always deliver the depth of flavor some diners expect from more traditional Indian restaurants. Ultimately, Mysttik Masaala is a place that delivers on its promise of a quick, comforting, and affordable meal. For a quick lunch or a solo dinner, its location and service options make it a worthy choice, especially for those in need of a fast and flavorful bite near Union Square. It serves its purpose as a reliable and convenient option in a neighborhood with endless food choices.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1First time ordering. Ordered on Grubhub, they canceled order. Went to the location and the tech wasn’t set up. Got the tikka masala bowl. Barely tastes like Indian food. Tastes more like halal cart than Indian food. And I’m south Asian, so I know. This is pretty expensive for the taste. $17-$20. I can go to Spice Thai two blocks away and get way more food for $14-$18 and better food. If I go back to this spot, I’ll try the vegetable samosas and see if that’s good or not. But I won’t be ordering from here again unfortunately.
July 19 · Jen ZenThe food here is extremely mid. If you’re really craving Indian fusion and you have nowhere else to go, this is the place for you. However, if you want good Indian food there are many other places to go in the city.I ordered the chicken tikka masala bowl, and it was ok at best. The sauce and chicken itself were an unsettlingly bright color indicating that it is not at all authentic. The chicken was dry.The vegetable samosa was cold in the middle, and it did not taste good. The service was not good either. The server was really slow at first, which is fine maybe they are new, and they were nice at first, but I ordered two vegetable samosas the server only gave me one. I told them “I ordered two vegetable samosas and I only got one.” & they responded in a rude manner, “did I charge you for 2?” I said yes, and the server rolled their eyes and handed it to me.I would not recommend.
August 31 · WinnieFood is tasty, but fast food type. Service was quock during lunch even though only one employee. It is located in the Urbanspace on E14th Street Opposite Irving Place, convenient to the subways at Union Square. Seating can be challenging at lunch and dinner in the urbanspace.
March 20 · Mike T.Friendly team. The food was pretty mid, watery, salty, but not flavorful. The naan was dry. Lunch for 1 came out to $22. Once I go above 20 I want something delicious
March 03 · James NewellDespicable... This tikka masala was an absolutely nightmarish experience. The rice is unseasoned, watery, and abhorrent. The chicken looked like pulled turkey served in public schools for poor children. The seasoning was an abomination to all of Mumbai. I beseech the CEO of this company to never set foot in India, for his own sake. The mere presence of this tikka is sacrilegous... The "awards" they have on their walls must not be real, or perhaps written by a hooligan. Deception !
