NAYA Introduce
NAYA has established itself as a premier destination for Middle Eastern cuisine in New York City, particularly in the bustling Midtown East area. The restaurant has successfully blended the rich, aromatic flavors of Lebanese food with a modern, fast-casual dining model. This "Chipotle-style" approach to Middle Eastern fare allows customers to build their own bowls, rolls, and salads, making the dining experience both personal and efficient. This unique concept has made NAYA a favorite for New Yorkers, especially those working in the vicinity who are looking for a quick, healthy, and delicious alternative to the standard lunch fare.
The core philosophy of NAYA revolves around freshness and flavor. The menu, while customizable, is built on a foundation of authentic ingredients and classic Lebanese recipes. The atmosphere is often described as a mix of "old New York vibes" and modern technology, creating a trendy and approachable space. While the seating area can be tight, the focus is clearly on high-quality food served with speed and consistency. NAYA has a strong reputation for being a "go-to" lunch spot and is praised for its generous portions and flavorful dishes. It's a place that caters to the city's fast pace without sacrificing the quality or taste of its food.
NAYA is located at 1057 2nd Ave, New York, NY 10022, USA. This prime address places it in the vibrant Midtown East neighborhood, which is a nexus for business, residential life, and tourism. The location on Second Avenue makes it easily accessible to a wide audience, from local office workers to visitors staying at nearby hotels.
The restaurant's accessibility is a key part of its appeal. It is situated in a high-traffic area with excellent public transportation options, including proximity to various subway lines and bus routes. This makes it a convenient spot for a quick lunch or dinner pickup. While the interior seating area may be limited, as noted by customer reviews, the emphasis on takeout and delivery services makes it a highly accessible option regardless of the dine-in space. The use of a dedicated app for ordering also streamlines the process, allowing customers to get their food quickly and avoid long lines during peak hours.
NAYA's service model is designed for convenience and speed, catering to the busy lifestyles of its New York City clientele.
- Delivery & Takeout: The primary service offerings are takeout and delivery, perfect for those who want to enjoy their meal at their office or home. The restaurant is well-integrated with popular delivery platforms.
- Catering: NAYA offers catering services, including bundles of appetizers and trays of their popular dishes, making it an excellent choice for corporate events, parties, and group meals.
- Table Service (Limited): While the space is geared towards a fast-casual model, there is a dining area available for those who wish to eat in, although it can be tight during busy periods.
These services, combined with the fast and efficient counter service, ensure that NAYA can meet the needs of a wide range of customers, from a solo diner on their lunch break to a large group ordering for a meeting.
NAYA is a standout in the New York food scene for several reasons that contribute to its popularity.
- "Create Your Own" Model: The ability to build a personalized bowl, roll, or salad is a major highlight. Customers can choose from a variety of bases like vermicelli rice or tri-color quinoa, add their preferred protein such as chicken shawarma or falafel, and top it with a wide selection of fresh vegetables, dips, and sauces.
- Fresh and Healthy Options: The menu features a variety of healthy and vegetarian options, including the NAYA Salad and falafel, making it a great choice for health-conscious diners. The ingredients are consistently praised for their freshness.
- Great Value: NAYA is noted by customers as being a "cost effective" option in a neighborhood where dining can be expensive. The portions are generous, providing excellent value for the price.
- Fast and Efficient Service: The restaurant prides itself on its fast service. Despite long lines, particularly during lunch, the process is streamlined, and orders are handled quickly and efficiently.
- Popular Dips and Sauces: The Toum (Garlic Whip) is a particularly addictive and highly-praised sauce, and the variety of other dips and sauces, like spicy red pepper and zesty jalapeño, allow for a customizable flavor experience.
These features, from the innovative dining model to the quality of the food and the speed of service, make NAYA a compelling choice for a quick and satisfying Middle Eastern meal.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The most cost effective lunch spot in this neighborhood. I have been ordering a salad bowl with chicken ($14) for my lunch. If you use their app to order, you can get your food relatively fast (usually under 10-15 mins) and accumulate their rewards. You can dine in but the sitting area is pretty tight. People usually stand around the dining area waiting for their food. I would recommend take-out.
June 17 · Nicole ChouMan, oh man, their food is absolutely delicious. Never heard of the place, but I saw a group of people walking around with their takeout bag so I decided to give it a shot. Places super tiny, but it gives old New York vibes for a touch of modern technology. Worth every penny will be back soon
August 05 · Amberlee_nycThe food here is absolutely delicious and made with high-quality, healthy ingredients. While this location is mobile order and pickup only, the food doesn't miss a beat. There's no traditional counter service, but the team members who brought out orders were incredibly friendly and helpful when I needed assistance finding mine. This has quickly become my go-to lunch spot in the area. Naya is fantastic!
July 31 · malini khargieCompared to regular store of Naya this took way too long. Usually my order takes 3min with a check out. Spent 15 here….with no line. No way to customize your order in the computer and no one to talk too..
February 09 · Olga RiaThis was my first time trying Lebanese food and it was wonderful! First, the service was great. Second, the food was fantastic (Also, I heard that the food was very authentic). Lastly, the ambiance was lovely. The restaurant was small, but set up very well. If you are ever looking to try Lebanese food, I highly recommend this place!
