Nobie's is exactly the kind of place my wife and I have been looking for in Houston!I made a date night reservation here on a friend's recommendation. I was a little sad that the only reservations they had open around 7 were outside, but I went with it. Upon arrival, they offered us a table in the bar area and we gladly took it!Our waiter was attentive and gave us some great insight into the menu and had great recommendations. We decided on a couple of their cocktails and both were very tasty. We ordered the dilly bread and we both ordered different pasta dishes so our server recommended we have the dilly bread with the meal rather than an appetizer and I'm glad we did, because it complemented the dishes very well! They offer pies every night but they change every day, so we opted for the menu staple of the olive oil cake since this was our first (but certainly won't be the last) visit. Very light, most, and with a slight lemon flavor - very good way to cap off a delicious meal! The ambiance of the restaurant was fantastic. We were sat right beneath a speaker so it was a little loud, but their website does provide a warning that they like it dark and loud. I will say that it wasn't loud enough to put a damper on the evening, though.Overall, 5 out of 5 and we'll certainly be back again! - Mike W
