★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️An absolute gem in Greenwich Village!Ofrenda has been on our bucket list for a while, and it did not disappoint. The vibe is cozy and vibrant, perfect for a night out. Service was fast, attentive, and super friendly — you really feel taken care of here. The spicy margarita is a must — bold, balanced, and incredibly flavorful. One of the best I’ve had. On the food front, the agua chiles were fresh and zesty, and the shrimp tacos? Absolutely killer. They melt the cheese inside the tortilla — next-level delicious. A total chef’s kiss.Ofrenda easily earns a spot in our regular rotation. Go hungry, and don’t skip the margarita.
June 21 · John AllieI came here with a party of five for happy hour—we were celebrating some good news and looking for a fun place to gather, and Ofrenda did not disappoint. The happy hour offerings are solid and we ended up trying all the margarita flavors. The Smoky Jalapeño Margarita was the standout for me—balanced, spicy, and perfectly mixed. The Cucumber Margarita was super refreshing, though I requested a Tajín rim and it was forgotten. The Passionfruit Margarita and Prickly Pear Margarita were very sweet—great if you like that kind of profile. I appreciated the different rim options overall, and the regular salt rim is always a classic. For food, we started with the chicken quesadilla, which was delicious but could’ve used a bit more cheese and definitely a spicy dipping sauce on the side. The nachos were a miss for me—not your traditional chips, more like fried tortilla halves. While they were loaded with toppings, I missed the texture and sharability of regular chips. We tried three taco options and they were excellent. Each order came with two. My personal ranking:1. Hongo (Various Mushrooms) – earthy, flavorful, unexpected2. Pescado (Tilapia Fish) – fresh and well-seasoned3. Pollo (Chicken) – still solid, just not as unique as the othersThe Tostada De Camarón (shrimp tostada) was just okay—not bad, but not very shareable. I’d probably skip it next time.On the other hand, we ordered two orders of elotes (each order comes with two halves) and those were a hit—you really can’t go wrong there. From the regular menu, we shared the pulpo (octopus), which was a standout dish. Perfectly cooked and seasoned, and served with Brussels sprouts and a velvety mashed potato (don’t expect chunks)—a combo that worked really well.My main feedback is that:•The menu should list the rim options for the margaritas—it’s a nice touch that deserves highlighting.•We were charged $1 for a habanero sauce we asked for to accompany tacos and quesadilla. For a small side condiment, that felt unnecessary—it should be complimentary.Overall rating: 3.5 stars, but I’m rounding up to 4 because the vibes were great and they were super accommodating with our larger group (with advance notice). Our total came to $328 for five people, with plenty of margaritas and multiple food rounds—fair value for the experience.
August 02 · Peter Huu Tran (PHT)Que rico!!! This place 10/10 such good quality food at great prices. The vibes were fun & friendly. Plántanos, chilaquiles, smokey cucumber margarita & cucumber margarita all top tier. note, probably the best cucumber margarita we ever had.
May 27 · Holly KerinStopped by on a Wednesday late afternoon for happy hr and a quick bite. The prickly pear margarita is made very nicely- fresh, quality and not overly sweet. Bartender was okay, not the very friendly but not unfriendly. I also ordered the fish tacos, 2 for 10 during happy hr isn’t bad. Generous portion and the presentation is very nice. Just be warned if you add the lime juice it gets pretty messy, as there is already liquid from the salsas/sauces already added. Overall not bad, would’ve ordered a corn tortilla but great value.
February 14 · Hak BénGreat spot to sit and watch the city go past you… great happy hour! And Gilberto was so kind and considerate during our visit :)
